David S (mx) wrote: Casa de mi Padre is a tongue-in-cheek satire of western movies set in Mexico and the way American film making has treated the Spanish culture in Hollywood. As the blatant tool, getting Will Ferrel to deliver all his lines in Spanish whilst acting the hero is comedy gold. The mere act of seeing him attempt to act seriously and speak Spanish is beautiful in its own right. Playing on all the cliches, on and "off" screen, Casa de mi Padre leaves no stone unturned in who and what it wants to poke fun of. Some deliveries are flat and predictable, whilst some of pure gold and hilarious. This strange film hits a niche market and will not be appreciated by most, but for those that can appreciate its intentional stupidity, it is genius.
Dawn (ca) wrote: Lets just say that this was awesome.........you can't sit through this movie without breaking a sweat........someone wrote it was like watching a Cohen's brother movie....and I say that is a good description. I felt guilty myself.......if you don't like reading subtitles....get over it......you will soon forget your reading them......watch it and tell me what you think.

Richard D (ru) wrote: This is nothing less than brilliant. Super-villains with no morals and threatening pseudonyms (Satanas, Venemos) terrorise pre-war Paris in a comic-book style thriller serial. Its incredible to see Feuillade break generic codes and rules before they've even been established, and for sheer invention this is inspiring stuff - proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that silent cinema was much more than just Chaplain falling over a banana skin or DW Griffifth being a bigot.Les Vampires is funny, horrific (for example, the severed head early on), and tense. Irma Vep is one of the classic cinema villains, too, and there is an exploration of the thin line between good and bad guys that is a genre staple even today (Batman is a prime example). Awesome, and recommended, even if you don't like silent films.
Brandon M (gb) wrote: The worst in the whole series...only good scene was seeing Micheal kill with an axe. Lol and that electrocution scene is just awful

Jamie C (ca) wrote: Brilliant film Will Smith does great to say he carries the film by himself, The effects were a let down, The story is brilliant but it's very different to most zombie films and wont appeal to most as it's not all about the kill count it's about the life of the last man on earth and his struggle to survive and keep his sanity.
Cameron A (ca) wrote: A sweet film based on heart and comedic moments. While not overly-ambitious, it should be praised for its performances and solid narrative throughout.
