'Breaking Upwards' explores a young, real-life New York couple who, four years in and battling codependency, decide to intricately strategize their own break up. Based on an actual experiment devised by director/actor Daryl Wein and actress Zoe Lister-Jones, the film loosely interprets a year in their lives exploring alternatives to monogamy, and the madness that ensues. An uncensored look at young love, lust, and the pangs of codependency, 'Breaking Upwards' follows its characters as they navigate each others' emotions across the city they love. It begs the question: is it ever possible to grow apart together?

Nicole G (au) wrote: It was very slow at the beginning, but about half way through picked up and was pretty good for the last half, however, I am not sure I got the ending.....

I like how they cut between the heist and the interrogations. I would recommend this one, especially if you dig bank heist movies.

Xavier D (it) wrote: I love this film. I hate comparing 'remakes' to their originals, I prefer to see them as stand alones inspired by the original story, told in a different way sharing a name. But it's quicker to say remake I guess. Dawn of the Dead '78 is the reason I like this genre, DotD '04 is why I still like. As far as running zombies go, I don't care, but it makes them much more a a threat... One of my favourite Directors, with some of the best actors about and a great soundtrack, good visuals, what more could you want? Might be my favourite Z film. Also loveable Ty Burrell does a great job at making you hate him as Steve.

Facebook U (kr) wrote: Yeah, I know it's a classic, but it's still terrible. This is one of those films that people will hate me for bashing, but I don't care. I find it dull and repetitive, and a movie with acting this bad will never be scary in my eyes. I do like to see the occasional so bad it's good movie, but I'm not someone who seeks them out and loves cheese. I would much rather watch a good movie than a so bad it's laughable movie. I'll give the movie props though for the last five minutes, which actually quite chilling, and the song in the end credits though is great, but other than that this movie is a waste of time. You want my advice, seek out the last five minutes on YouTube.
