Geoff J (ca) wrote: Great performances all round, including a very brave turn by Bello. But as good as the acting is, you can see exactly where the story is going from 5 mins in, so while you admire the craft, you can't emotionally invest in the characters.

Reginald J (fr) wrote: It's too easy to call this a dramatic "Love Boat" or Grand Hotel on the sea, although that's probably the best way to describe it. It's good, not great. However, it's worth a viewing if you like old films with large casts of established stars, those on the cusp, and those just starting out. Notably, this is Vivien Leigh's last film (she died two years later). That's worth a peek alone if you only know her as Scarlett O'Hara.

I would recommend you only watch this if you have zero interest in Braff's other work or are completely unfamiliar with it. Even then, I'm not sure it's worth your time.

This movie was brutally boring to watch, and flashback after flashback just killed the momentum of the movie. Would of been better with the earlier scenes being in first part of movie and the forest scenes in the 2nd part. The flashback after flashback thing was tedious and dumb and ruined the movie, because it wasn't executed correctly and doesn't work well with this type of movie. With such good actors and a great plot to work with, the director really destroyed a movie that could of been fantastic.
