John S (ag) wrote: What's best about it is its right-on depiction of four losers. If you liked Sideways, you probably will like it, although it is not nearly as polished a film. Some of the scenes may make you a little uncomfortable, because we've all done some of the things these mildly loathsome characters do.

Kelly K (kr) wrote: This was an interesting film. At times it was purely comedic, then at other times there are very meaningful and revealing scenes that show the ties between the difficulties in black relationships and the issues in American society that lead to those difficulties.

The explosion includes fireworks, loads of dynamite and several grenades and whatever else. They're several different versions of this film that exist between Laserdisc and video! Some of the most notable highlights include Jackie Chan strapping a real live bomb onto himself! A fight on a school playground involving several people with steel batons and exploding controlled little cars which the idea was reused again for the fourth installment of the Dirty Harry series called "The Dead Pool"! If you have the Dragon Dynasty" copy, also check out the extras especially the part about Jackie Chan's professional stunt team! 4/4

Richard D (us) wrote: A bunch of folks live in a communal house in Melbourne during the "Little Bands" music scene in 1978. Not easy to say much about this film other than the soundtrack is great due to the film largely being an exercise in chaos. It's literally two hours of dozens of people all talking and yelling at the same time. It's somewhat amazing that it isn't terrible. It's not exactly good ... but it's not terrible. It ends with a tragedy that has very little impact because none of these people are actual characters. Michael Hutchence headlines as a sub-verbal singer for the house band. The soundtrack features Iggy Pop, Brian Eno, Gang of Four, The Birthday Party and a host of Aussie post-punk bands from this scene.

Tony C (br) wrote: The movie is a good watch for any fans of the classic Universal Monsters. It has a good story, that can be a bit confusing at times, but rolls well. The best part of the movie is seeing the ending and some of the monsters come together. The main flaw in the movie is that you do not really get what the poster says. Sure all the monsters are there together but not for long. Still the movie is fun and should be seen by horror fans.

Alec B (us) wrote: Leave it to Michael Mann to craft such an audacious, offbeat, and occasionally frustrating portrayal of Muhammad Ali. I get why it has a reputation for mostly disappointing people but I like that the movie defies convention both in narrative and style. In regards to Smith, he's best when playing Ali's charismatic and transgressive public persona while he falls flat in scenes that require more nuance. With stronger central performance, this might have been a masterpiece.

Alexander Y (gb) wrote: The dialogue is often wooden and cheesy. The actors uniformly bad, apart from the two main actors. As a result most of the conversations that take place lack a natural flow. Also, do not watch this movie for its technical merits. The score, in particular, is edited poorly, often times so out of place it is jarring. Still, the action is effective and efficient, not beautifully choreographed, but with enough power that it delivers. The hero is never really challenged in the entire movie but it works because who doesn't want to root for an ex-con with a heart of gold. The only other notable performance comes from the film's main antagonist who has a surprising amount of depth.

Anthony M (us) wrote: You can feel the passion that Burton has for the source material in every scene. Part biographical, part love letter, part commentary on friendship and family, it all combines into what could arguably be called Tim Burton's best work ever, were it not for Big Fish.

Fernando C (ru) wrote: I love shrek characters, but I feel this one has been made just for pure comercial, Its too boring and I think it is one of the worst sequels ever made
