Adam B (ca) wrote: One shiny star just for the silliness of it. Osama is not dead... he's UNDEAD! You'll find yourself asking questions such as "why did they just do what they just did", along with the critical question of "why did I just do what I just did". Bottom line: don't take it too seriously if you're going to take the plunge.

Bradley M (ca) wrote: I know it's no longer the norm to like Nic Cage but I thought it did well. You get real into the story and its a captivating, chilling experience.

Dave L (us) wrote: Spike Lee's latest film begins with an interesting premise: what happens when a young kind from Atlanta visits his Christian grandfather in Brooklyn (Red Hook Neighborhood)? The dialogue of faith in this community certain is intriguing even if other plot points (like why the kid would go all the way to Brooklyn) aren't really even developed. With about 40 minutes left in the movie, Lee brings the shock factor and so much of a shock factor that the movie never really recovers. The powder keg topic that is brought to bear never gives the audience a guide for how to think about it. I realize sometimes art deals with the complexities of life and that there are not easy solutions, but this topic and its affect on the characters is not developed well at all. This really could have been a great film if a stronger script had been involved.

The digital shot gives it a gloss and proficiency that it really doesnt deserve: the narrative pacing and cinematography is un petit peu trop pr (C)tentieux; while the stiff acting is more on the level one finds in porno. Ultimately it is not so much that it is bad but it is a frustrating watch.

Mitch H (es) wrote: An interesting and quick thriller that attempts to expose the black market of organ transplants. Dermot Mulroney, although not spectacular, put forth a watchable performance while almost carrying this film single-handedly. In a film that does a good job showing the moral dilemmas a father faces and the great lengths one will go, it somehow feels incredibly thin and lackluster. In may have something to do with the incredibly limited runtime. A great ending leaves it at -- 7/10.

Rawballs B (es) wrote: First, I have no idea that the ending will be that way... even though it made me believe that "yes, Sh*t happens"... but then it was a sh*tty waste of time...

Ken S (kr) wrote: Decent murder mystery that is also a little too predictable with its twists, and the conclusions the characters reach, while logical within the film, seem almost like complete leaps for the characters themselves. It was decent, but I probably won't remember it a year from now.

Lauren M (mx) wrote: Great movie that deals perfectly with gender, sexuality, and an interesting theater history fact. Billy Crudup is amazing! Definitely worth watching.

David W (ru) wrote: The connection between Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman's characters really show brothers helping each other out with Barry Levinson's directing on spot

Aaron R (ru) wrote: A truly offensive and racially stereotyped war movie. Making a joke of WWII and the paranoia of having the States invaded is not funny at all, nor is having the invading Japanese be bungling Three Stooges morons funny. Easily, Spielberg's worst movie.
