Rodney, a young mob bag-man tries to leave his life of crime but his partner Dominic has other plans. German tourists bite off more than they can chew. A tiny mute hitch hiker has a day she'll never forget. Blix, an escapee from a federal prison, goes on a destructive rampage. Playboy Doctor Sean Steele puts his life in jeopardy when he thinks with the wrong head. FBI agent Hampton and U.S. Marshal Yamato ruthlessly compete for the same arrest. Drake H (au) wrote: Its good. But its not for everyone. And the ending is trippy and somewhat predictable. But it is highly engaging.

Phil B (au) wrote: Hilarious movie, and it paints a good picture of what the Great Depression was really like, and how families in the depression faced multiple problems. I find this movie to be not just funny but somewhat emotional in parts, when characters are facing problems and are arguing with each other. This is a very good adaption of a very good play, I highly recommend it.
Adam E (gb) wrote: 80's sci fi action which is err like every other low budget sci fi action movie of the period! So you get the awesome matt paintings, the sets made of other sci fi movies and loads of aliens! Theres a restaurant that looks like a poor mans mos aisley cantina but its still a laugh! Start of all serious, then gets laid back in the middle leading to a rather dark final act. The characters are as you would expect lacking in substance aside from certain key players (like rough and ready captain hawk who comes of like han solos dad). The special effects are as cheesey as hell but loads of fun (even if they dont tend to match whats happening in the ship!) and thou its a bit silly it whizzes through at a fast pace and theres rarely a scene were somethings not been blown up! Theres a lot better out there but theres also a lot worse. Maybe one to pop on the side for when you have a free few hours!

Timothy M (ca) wrote: Wow. What a misfire. A complete hodge-podge of seemingly disparate elements - it's hard to believe that this is a remake. MASH would turn out to be something vaguely similar in some respects, in terms of doing the war-comedy with pathos, but Altman sure did it a heck of a lot better. This doesn't even really feel like much of a Ford film. There's men being silly over women, and... that's about it. Cagney's OK, but mainly... meh.
