(nl) wrote: Worst movie ever. Don't even attempt to watch this. 2 hours of my life wasted on this crap. GET ZACK AND CODY ended up sounding like a dance track.

(nl) wrote: Predictable and with a poor screenplay, however well acted, with great lessons and an interesting and funny story, this movie brings to us an original way to expose Zombie's world.
(it) wrote: A fine story about a family and a change in their lives. A peaceful and slightly melancholic, or nostalgic, film.
(de) wrote: The Wellington Company has some electric cars. They are great!
(gb) wrote: It's interesting, but not terribly noteworthy. It lacks a kind of cohesiveness - ideas are presented, but not necessarily explored or tied into the greater whole. Still, it's a foreign vampire film.
(it) wrote: Humor is a little crude, but okay.
(au) wrote: This was the worst crow movie ever made to me it didn't even fit in with the rest they should of stopped with the 3rd....

(fr) wrote: As enjoyable and intelligent ??Madame de??? is, it ensures the viewer does the slightest work possible to make it so. The story flows from one scene to the next while making the content, characterizations, and motivations reasonably evident. All of this, and more, is in thanks to Max Ophls fluid camera work and direction of his actors ranging from the alluring Danielle Darrieux to a welcoming Vittorio De Sica ?? in front of the camera here and straight off of helming his masterpiece ??Umberto D.?? The very camera that wishes to tell, rather than show, follows only what is important without digressing to superfluous subjects; a great example is Madame de??s introduction. Ophls editing may suffer from this attention paid to composition, but it is hardly noticeable due to the latter??s beauty. Madam de herself is one of the most interesting female characters to ever grace the silver screen; she admits her many faults, knows how to get what she wants, and is even charming in being a compulsive liar. One hardly feels bad for her respectful, but domineering husband (Charles Boyer playing a well-balanced antagonist of sorts) because she convinces herself, her forbidden lover, and the audience that her affair with De Sica is fate. It may very well be destiny according to the story and this remains one of the most pleasant features of the film. With Madame de??s earrings being the catalyst for much that happens, they not only act as a driving force of the plot but make it necessary and believable all the while, even in linking her and De Sica??s character through implausible means. Ophls delivers quite the film with this quintessential story, along with amazing composition and movement that would be reason enough to see on its own.

(ca) wrote: This now legendary movie demonstates the possibilities of cinema at the end of the XX century.
(kr) wrote: This one is not suitable for children and reminds me of the Mists of Avalon. Alot of twists. One thing compelling was it left me thinking about the plot for awhile.
(mx) wrote: Good movie. It starts off energetic and stylish, and evolves into the grim portrayal of the world of pornography while remaining stylish. While it jumps back and forth too often, the performances are great from the whole cast, especially Seyfried and Sarsgaard
