(us) wrote: My god this film was terrible. Was it meant to be scary or funny? Because it was neither. The acting was abysmal, even for a horror movie of this type. The story was incredibly lame and even the amount of gore couldn't compensate for it. The only reason I gave this one star is for the people that did a good job on the make-up and the one bit that made me jump. Otherwise, don't waste an hour and ten minutes of your life on this film cause trust me it seems to last a lot longer and you won't get that time back! As said in someone elses review, Mum and Dad is a much much better British horror film so i'd recommend that over this any day.
(kr) wrote: it was okay kind of the stereotypical lesbian though so couldn't relate oh and btw the way they busted out the lesbian sex in this film never fucking happens that way maybe in like your dreams but straight up no and what the fuck was up with the acoustic guitar music like really really how much fucking gay pretentious can you get. it was entertaining yes but stereotypical tired of the stereotypes not everyone is commitment problems and all this other lesbian drama bullshit. but it was entertaining.

(gb) wrote: The over-acting was ridiculous, the jokes were repetitious and mostly unfunny...I would like to say it was so bad that it was good...but it wasn't.
(ca) wrote: Man that orangutan is an a-hole! This is an ok suspense film about a monkey terrorizing Elisabeth Shue. It's hard to believe that she did a nude scene a year before Adventures In Babysitting!

(mx) wrote: Saw this over a month ago on the newly released Icons Of Suspense set of Hammer thrillers. What a movie. Oliver Reed trembles his way through a genre-bending art-house thriller that yields one of the more layered pieces on relationships I've seen. In this case the relationships are all familial and social, not the usual nouvelle vague treatment. More like Fist In The Pocket than Breathless. The twists and turns are breathtaking though, and the provocation to thought is eerie. There is plenty of squirm factor, and plenty about art and society and the discomfort we have of each other, at times, when nature conspires, or seems to conspire, against us. As another critic pointed out it foreshadows Clockwork Orange, and in more ways than one, and in some ways trumps it. Wonderful cast and script, great sci-fi in the spirit of Seconds, a key movie. This would be fun to see at this year's Fantasia festival...

That my friends, that would have been more interesting and more truly progressive.
