A down on his luck gambler links up with free spirit Elliot Gould at first to have some fun on, but then gets into debt when Gould takes an unscheduled trip to Tijuana. As a final act of desperation, he pawns most of his possessions and goes to Reno for the poker game of a lifetime. A film set mainly in casinos and races, as the two win and lose (but mainly win), get robbed, and get blind drunk.

Shane, get your aspect ratios right. Old 4x3 pictures in an anamorphic film look shit and are insanely distracting to what's being said. Second part is about the reunion, and although well shot, is so sycophantic it looses the plot. The final part is concert footage, which let's be fair, is great because of the Roses, not in spite of them. Meadows is no Scorsese when it comes to filming rock bands. A wasted opportunity.

All I have to say about this piece of shit is that "Uwe Boll would be so proud of this!" starting from its subtitle to the entire mishap of the movie, it is easy to understand that the filmmakers themselves have no respect for Romero's films and they're only intention is to make money off his material by spinning around bad sequels, prequels and remakes. For all the Romero and Zombie fans do yourselves a favor and save your money!

I don't know how such a good clooney movie disappeared into the void but I thought it was a great sports movie that never intended to be a great sports movie. (It doesn't take itself too seriously is what I'm trying to say I guess). A funny, charming time piece. A hidden Jewel that slides to the back of your DVD collection until you wipe the dust off of it one day and go "oh yea, I forgot I loved this movie"
