Up-and-comer Hou Chi-Jan does an impressive mashup of Lynchian surrealism, Tsai Ming-Liang's urban malaise/melancholia and mainstream romantic melodrama, with odd sprinklings of horror and sci-fi tropes. Although you may be confused and frustrated as to where this is headed initially with its bifurcated narrative that deals with alternate realities, you will gradually be transfixed as its puzzle pieces start to come together satisfyingly by the second act. This utterly beguiling film works as a magical realist tone poem as well as a touching love story.

(ru) wrote: Corny, cliche, predictable and bad acting flows through this movie. There are two talents in this movie, the voice of Ciara and Billy Zane but Zane has been doing nothing worth watching since after Demon knight(which he was amazing in!) and his talent is king to waste.

Willie Nelson is awe inspiring in this simple gritty western about the code between some men of a partially forgotten era. This film packs powerful lessons about the poison of revenge and the edurance of love and legacy.

Looking forward to the sequel. Definitely watch with your buddies if you're feeling goofy and loud. Because this movie is that: goofy and loud. And hilarious. Great comedy.
(ag) wrote: Pretty pointless. Just a collection of kills, which aren't near as creative or funny as the second. Doesn't really seperate itself from the second, and gets tired very quickly. Only a couple succesful campy and corny humor.

Wouldn't you rather have the parents excited watching the movie, rather than taking a little nap. This is worse than Pete's Dragon(2016). It's really hard to watch honestly and I recommend taking your kids to see Kubo and the two strings.
