(nl) wrote: not better than the first one...there are too many similarities as well such as the lead actor surviving and coming back to save his girlfriend and all that. VFX could have been better as well. performances were actually very good and so was the cinematography. the film definitely had more potential..
(ca) wrote: Nothing about this film is convincing. The performances do not ring true, the situations are melodramatic and trite, the writing belongs more in Readers Digest than in a film. The attempts at style fail miserably. I am sure everyone involved meant well, but the result is a failure.
(gb) wrote: Though it's one of Eastwood's lighter-hitting directorial efforts, it's still a powerful tale.

(ag) wrote: Quentin Tarantino wannabe, trying to be a darkly edgy comedic film that nose dived into the video store dumpster bin after the first 15 minutes. Sad that two underrated comedic diamonds in the rough characters like Rob Schneider and Ron Livingston keep making straight to the dumpster comedies. The movie was offensively racist and homophobic, trying to be funny that then fell flat on its sad clown face. Sad sack Rob Schneider snorting coke and getting pummeled by a transvestite whore, then later getting electrocuted in a tub. END OF STORY
(br) wrote: Wow! One of the worst movies ever. Terrible sound and cinematography. I've seen high school productions with better quality. The acting is just awful and the story is just so cliche and cheesy. This movie was made in a weekend and the script seems to have been written the night before production started. Avoid at all costs! It's that bad!

(mx) wrote: Poor Bronson, he deserved better than this send off
(ru) wrote: Cruise performed like the most energetic of his career in this sad, triumph anti-war film about the horrific effects of wars being seen through the eyes of a pre-paralyzed Vietnam veteran. (B)(Full review coming soon)
(nl) wrote: Ya, this just ain't good. Cusack has a few funny lines here and there, but they're far too few to save this steaming pile of almost mediocrity. I'm not sure whether Thomas Jane was a victim of a dreadful script or his own bad acting, but his performance was just crap and really awkward. I normally despise a short movie, but this one coming to a merciful close before that sacred 90 minute mark was a welcome blessing from the film gods. Extra half star just because I refuse to rate a John Cusack film the same as Gingerdead Man 3.
