A young woman joins the military to be part of something bigger than herself and her small-town roots. Instead, she ends up as a new guard at Guantanamo Bay, where her mission is far from black and white. Surrounded by hostile jihadists and aggressive squadmates, she strikes up an unusual friendship with one of the detainees.

(br) wrote: It has been a while since I have seen this, but I remember enjoying the action sequences. I believe for the second bond this one kicked a lot of tail and set the stage for the Connery era. Some nice tailing scenes, cool gadgetry, and a smooth Connery make this one of the better outings.

The mythology is thin and spread over a meaningless tale of rebellion and freedom. However, the music is top-notch and memorable, and the occasional play of words between Quaid and Connery is entertaining.
