Daniel G (es) wrote: a post modern take on an old hindu story that exceeds in every aspect, and is occasionally strikingly visionary.

Kinohi N (br) wrote: Zizek's great and all, but this was a vain attempt at grasping his "cool" aura. The intertitles "explaining" psychoanalytic concepts were an unnecessary distraction, and the footage of Zizek himself was poorly edited. A few interesting moments (Zizek at home, for example), but overall this was utterly forgettable.

Kim B (au) wrote: Now some of the new changes I could predict but it's more amazing how much u can't. People seem to be settling down more now and have the jobs they will continue to have until retirement. Their kids are a bit older. Again all have such different stories and I'm glad some have come back in series to show their lives. Incredible series.

John A (mx) wrote: Great movie has really shown what young boys with Gender Identity Disorder go through, I strongly recommend this to any parent who's child has G.I.D this movie will help you to understand them better.

Sarah C (ru) wrote: Stunning movie. There is no villain, there is no hatred for either side of the war, there is only a brother and sister trying to survive through harsh times. This will have you emotionally invested and you will cry. It's not your average animated flick where there's a happy ending: Grave of the Fireflies takes its subject matter very seriously and properly conveys the human condition, and just how hard things are in war.

Freddie Fresh (de) wrote: cool b boy movie. The hollywood story about Russell Simmions sucked but still a good movie.

Jason J (ca) wrote: Set in the Japanese yakuza underworld, Sonatine gives insight into not just Kitano's Murakawa character, but also Japanese culture and behaviour, which is quite different from the Scorsese school of western movies. Sonatine presents a real story of a yakuza man tired of a trade he is being squeezed out of by rivals. Kitano is clearly a "less is more" type of actor, but more is shown in his gaze than any other actor, something anyone knowing "Beat" Takeshi's troubled history will understand. Takeshi's stand up history also comes across in Sonatine's several humorous moments, such as the William Tell/Sumo Wrestling sequence on the beach. The cinematography is also absolutely beautiful, nice and simple static shots plus some pretty locations, such as the beach. Sonatine is recommended for its mixture of action, humour and poetically alternative performances.

Dave A (br) wrote: Comedy road movie from 1974 with Gerard Depardieu & Patrick Dewaere as amoral sex hungry thugs on the run, who despite some very dubious behaviour towards women, manage overall to be charming and whimsical. Miou-Miou is delightful as their jaded lover (they share everything), fine direction from Bertrand Blier...

Greg R (jp) wrote: I kept wanting to stop it and then something amusing would happen and keep me interested....very dated of course ...the ending looks like they just ran out of time and threw something together....but its saved by Lemmon really is good fun to watch...

Vance I (jp) wrote: Love this one. Old honest Hondo.

Michael H (ru) wrote: Boyer's best-remembered performance; great story, though it would have benefited from higher production values.

Ben R (ca) wrote: A movie that means we'll but Sean Penn. Never go full retard

Adrian B (de) wrote: Great acting as always from Russell Crowe but the story could have been better. It's very slow and not much action at all
