(it) wrote: A misguided attempt to combine a family drama with a story about Camorra, In this movie there is no redemption or atonement, only cynicism and selfishness but there is not even a little bit of the charm of a good crime movie. One positive note is the excellent acting by Toni Servillo (as usual). Watchable but with low expectations. A further sign of Italian cinema crisis in recent years.

(jp) wrote: Well it is much better than the last two films that's for sure. Doesn't make it good unfortunately. It fixes the acting and attempts at comedy problems thankfully, but is bogged down by severe boredom. Nothing really happens and the entire time I was watching it, I had to struggle to stay awake. However, I'd much rather watch this over the previous two films and it fixed some of the problems I had, so I don't hate it too much.

(de) wrote: Perfect! It is absolutely delightful with a spectacular cast. Thelma Ritter is in my honest opinion, the best character actress that Hollywood has ever produced, and is allowed to perform her many talents with minimal intrusions by other actors. The best scene of all is watching Doris Day drive a brand new 1963 Imperial Conv. into a car wash and then accidentally putting the top down.
(br) wrote: Seemed to have potential, initially, but quickly degenerated into z-grade horror schlock. Not "so bad it's good" this is very bad, and stays that way. Unoriginal, predictable plot, filled with random, meaningless, nonsensical sub-plots and implausible scenes. Lame, unconvincing acting.Avoid.

(de) wrote: I like a good spy thriller, but this isn't a good one. instead it's a drama that tests morales and it isn't that interesting. It's a shame given the talent (and everyone over the age of 60 getting a supporting role) that the script doesn't really twist or amount to much thrill. Shia Labouef tries legitimate acting but it comes off more as pretentious and sort of stilted. Anna Kendrick is heavily miscast as an informant. Redford tries to give a dimensional character but it never fleshes out and it's a shame.
