Carry on Emmannuelle torrent reviews

Jake L (ag) wrote: The Autopsy of Jane Doe starts off intriguing, and quickly spirals into a thriller with refreshingly original concepts and creeps, more than proving vredal's craft. Although somewhat let down by an unnecessary, poorly executed and clich character death, the film is still very much worth the watch if this let down is ignored.

Fevi Y (ca) wrote: Michael Dixon is a seasoned agent working linewatch on the US/Mexico Border. Well respected by his peers at US Border Patrol, and well loved by his family (wife Angela and 5 year old daughter Emily), Michael's world is suddenly threatened by secrets from his past. Michael was not always the respectable family man he now has become - he was a vicious Los Angeles gang member who turned his back on the gang and his own brutal ways. But no one can quit the gang, so when a chance encounter leads the gang to Michael in New Mexico, Michael is forced to find a way to protect his family, even if it means helping the psychotic gang leader Drake smuggle a truckload of drugs across the border.

Thomas B (au) wrote: ***A typically odd serving from Tim Burton, but one that is charming and fun. Michael Keaton is great as the character of Beetlejuice, and the film's premise is strangely interesting.

Colin O (jp) wrote: Struggling with the loss of his parents, Simon is given an assignment by his teacher to assess the impact a falsified news report can have. The web of lies Simon weaves goes too far and starts to affect his standing amongst his friends and may tarnish the memory of his deceased parents. In terms of dealing with grief and coping mechanisms, saying that your dead father was a terrorist who took your pregnant mother hostage on a plane is not going to be very affective. If anything's about to explode it's big can of worms. I feel that this film was never designed to work as a drama; more as a discussion piece about the audiences fears and prejudices of the unknown. The film itself features it's own kind of mock-trial on Skype, as all of Simon's friends chime in on a subject they are all too young to comprehend, like a coffee-shop discussion but through monitors. Seeing a young boy who doesn't know whether to romanticise his parents memory or destroy it, no teacher would ever ask a pupil to subject themselves to this scrutiny, making the film unbelievable and slightly exploitative. If you're familiar with director Atom Egoyan's other works, you may find things to like. But outside of the art-house crowd, i can't see this finding an audience.

Bill B (us) wrote: Finally gave it a spin off the To-Watch Pile and I have to say that it was as much sleazy exploitation fun as you'd expect. Linda Blair's sleazy output from around this time period is a lot of fun, and this is a very typical Women In Prison outing, so you know exactly what you're in for from the first frame.Rental!

Amanda C (us) wrote: It's so rare that women over 30 get any time on screen. When they do, they are almost always mothers. That's what makes Hello, My Name is Doris refreshing. Doris is sixty-something and single, she is an eccentric pack rat who fantasizes about the hot young guy who works down the hall from her. Sally Fields appears to relish every second she gets to spend as this unique and wonderful woman, probably realizing this might well be the last decent part she gets. It is a film full of light and humour, while also touching on the realities of being an older woman in a society that does its best to pretend they don't exist as fully formed individuals. There might be a few cheap shots taken at Doris throughout the film, but overall, she gets the last laugh.
