The year is 1898. A beautiful woman named Marie (also known as Casque d'Or) has fallen in love with a carpenter named Manda. The problem is that Marie is the girlfriend of a hoodlum in the Leca gang. So in order to have the lovely Marie, Manda faces and defies the gang and kills Leca. Soon after however, Manda is sent to the gallows.

(jp) wrote: I was totally under the impression this movie was rife with zombie goodness, but it was only marketed as such. Not a single zombie in sight. The obvious low-budget was appealing to me on an indie level, but it was the surprisingly good acting from the female lead that kept me watching. The ending wrecked whatever momentum the film had going, but since I made Dan watch it - it's now an item in our private joke cache. :)
