Ross M (us) wrote: Awesome, gritty, realism, adventure, touching, moving, dramatic, powerful story and very cool acting by all cast members. And the scenery is stunning, such evocative backlighting, sunsets, geology and vegetation. Wow what a beautiful and torrid movie. Such an unorthodox glimpse of rural North American society in the early 2000's. This New Zealand person scores Road to Paloma a perfect 10.

Scot Q (gb) wrote: Surprisingly good follow-up to the hilarious heady romp Henry Fool. Shifting to modern circumstances almost 10 years after the first movie could have been a recipe for disaster, but instead was a good follow-up and could have even flown as a stand alone (almost). A great, is she really there and where does she draw her strength from, performance from Parker Posey and really good performances across the board. If you saw the first, definitely check out this one, if you didn't, consider them both.

Claudia W (fr) wrote: This was an average movie. It was strangely put together as it began in the middle of the story. Doris Day fine but no different from any of her other roles, really. Louis Jourdan was definitely crazy, almost ridiculously so. It was a very predictable.
Juha S (jp) wrote: Nicely made, but the plot is quite confusing. But you can see clearly that some of it was shot in Helsinki!

Michael W (ca) wrote: A near-classic of the genre has a withdrawn and gender confused youth on a murder spree at troubled Camp Arawak. Feels mostly ordinary until its mindbending finish; and likely would have faded into obscurity without it. As it stands, earned a well-placed cult status that produced a few rogue sequels. Must see 80s horror.

Randy Y (kr) wrote: An okay film, but it seemed kinda unfocused with a stumbly pace. Drifted between a spiritual/religious centre, football, racial issues, and one player's gift- they were meant to all be tied, but didn't flow together in a slick way. Even the score drifted between the pumping orchestra music (like a superhero music), to hip sounding songs from the 60's. Some of the central characters were awkward in their acting as well (the spiritual folk), and some storylines seem unfulfilled (threats of parents).
