EQ R (ag) wrote: The good news is that this movie is basically one big car chase, bad news is that it's so poorly edited that the chase scenes become tedious and sometimes headache inducing. The times that the story drops into a lower gear we are treated to Selena Gomez's horrible acting (her verbiage is limited to repeating "oh shit!" And "please stop") and when Ethan Hawke is trying so hard to make the film entertaining he fails, but not because of him, it's due to the chemistry he has with Gomez...except they have zero of it. The movie is so fast paced for its own good and at times it gets repetitive to the point of boredom. I wish this were a so bad it's good type of guilty pleasure, instead it just comes off kind of bad. It does get points for having Hawke drive the hell out of one really nice Shelby and it can provide a sliver of entertainment if you can overlook every flaw and gaping plot hole the movie has. D-

Daisy M (de) wrote: had no plot really. the hitchhiker was sort of entertaining and i felt bad for her at the end. the domestic abuse was depressing. could have gone without the old lady's strip tease. is *everyone* in austria ugly and/or fat? i don't care, but um, wow. lol

Darrin C (us) wrote: A good Dirty Cop film. Belushi and Tupac really meshed well together which was both a comedic and dramatic treat to see.

Jarrin R (ru) wrote: Comedy classic in my eyes. Takes a simple concept and makes it so very funny. I watch it all the time, it never gets old.

Fred L (au) wrote: Critics got this one wrong. Sure, a bit overblown, but just the death of a key character alone makes this worth watching...aside from Lena Olin's legs.

Shantel D (es) wrote: Still kill me... and they spoofed it on Robot Chicken. I thought I was the only one who remembered them!

Ken S (ru) wrote: This classic so-bad-its-good Christmas movie is far more entertaining than the other well known Christmas movie in the same vein, "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians." The reason this works better is that you can tell it was made with a bit more care and imagination. It is certainly weird, but some strange aspects are most likely due to cultural differences, as this was made for Mexican kids, and like every country I am sure that their version of Santa varies from our version. Still there are some things that are just plain weird...like the lip machine...and Merlin. See it with some friends or check out the MST3K version, it can be a fun weird movie for the holidays.

Dave J (de) wrote: Monday, November 26, 2012 (1978) Straight Time THRILLER Based on a novel written by Edward Bunker called "No Beast So Fierce" which has an excellent first half but very foregettable second starring Dustin Hoffman as Max which after making attempts in rehibiliating his life gets pulled back into bank robberies again which is conventional with no new surprises. Great performance by Hoffman but not memorable enough to save this film. 2 out of 4

Paul Newman plays a guy who was raised by Native Americans and takes a coach ride with some people and some of them are so racist against Native Americans but don't know ^he was raised by them...they get held up and now depend on him to help them, lol. White people.
