Patrick G (it) wrote: This Spanish movie is set in 1931. The main character, Fernando, is a handsome former seminary student who is a deserter from the army. On his way to Madrid, he is given a bed in the house of a man who has four beautiful and witty daughters. This is primarily a sex comedy, but with lots of funny jokes about the church and the political situation at the time. Five stars.
Michael M (jp) wrote: You've got to hand it to Paul Verhoeven. He's always had a knack to sex up all of his movies and he normally finds a way to inject some female nudity whenever possible....think the infamous three-titted hooker from "Total Recall," the infamous beaver shot from Sharon Stone in "Basic Instinct," and what he did to Jesse Spano in "Showgirls." I think he even throws in a shower scene into "Starship Troopers" just because. In this movie, once Kevin Bacon turns invisible, he does just what a normal guy would do in the same circumstance...he checks out hot chicks naked. This movie is probably already forgotten by many but it's really pretty solid and there's some good violence. I still hate that he kills the dog though.
Weaam M (fr) wrote: very inspiring! on the level of performance from the two grands Owen and Binoche, The script is good even with the cliches - me personally used to like - but something in the montage maybe or the directing is mismatching, i think the director couldn't follow the moments of magic line through all the movie time, still I loved the provoking\ liking chemistry between the two.. the words and the pictures :)
