Jake A (it) wrote: No it isn't high art and quite frankly it only just manages to make average in basic film making but it has a good premise, decent special effects, keeps your attention and doesn't overstay its welcome.

Asif K (mx) wrote: A twisted love triangle forms when two talented performers embark on a sea-bound tour with plans to remain together. But when one of them falls for the ship's wealthy owner, their union becomes unexpectedly clouded by jealousy and lies.a good movie, more thriller than romance
Jairo A (mx) wrote: Picks up right where the first part left off, AWESOMELY FUNNY! The characters are awesome in this and the acting doesn't seem forced...you can tell they had fun filming this movie. Maybe part one was slightly better but just "barely".
Bloodmarsh K (ca) wrote: 'Vertical Limit' is as cheesy as they come , and it's a shocking reminder that these ''actors'' were once taken seriously.

Glenn C (us) wrote: Night Crossing is a Disney production from 1982 Starring John Hurt and Beau Bridges. It's the true story about two families who attempt to flee East German into West Germany in a home made hot air balloon. It's a fantastic escape movie told with sincerity and maturity. Before the 90s, Disney used to produce some amazing feature films (Third Man on the Mountain, Follow Me Boys, Treasure of Matecumbe just to scratch the surface). They were often true stories and always informative. I learned a lot from watching these films and I still do. Night Crossing is surprisingly sombre for a Disney film with a young boy being brutally gunned down by border guards within the first 10 minutes of the film, blood and all. So naturally it's for older kids and I think its acts as a great gateway into the history of German-segretation and the Berlin Wall. John Hurt and Beau Bridges are really good, and Hurt shows a vulnerability that I haven't seen often in his performances. The one weird thing about the movie is that the actors have British and American accents and it's easy for forget that they're supposed to be from East Germany... and yet all of the East German officials (police, guards etc) have accents. I guess to sort of vilify them. But the story is fascinating and holds your attention. The film has slipped into obscurity with time but I highly recommend finding a copy and owning it.
Aj V (ag) wrote: Although there are a lot of outrageous scenes, they aren't as funny as they think they are. The story isn't all that interesting either, but it does have a good cast.
Jess L (ru) wrote: The 20 minute fire sequence is remarkable considering it was made in the 1930s. Tyrone Power is a stunning lead, alongside Alice Faye and Don Ameche there is one solid cast here. Pure entertainment, I didn't watch it thinking it would be historically accurate or informing.
Carlos R (fr) wrote: Violent, controversial, gory, and frightening. Battle Royale works perfectly in every level and was somehow able to make me connect with every character.
Mark R (ag) wrote: The comedy was meh, the action scenes were not much better, Bruce Willis isn't as young as he used to be so which is to be expected. This movie had some parts which were entertaining, but if asked if I would watch again. That would be a solid nope.
Larry S (us) wrote: Paris, Kevin Kline, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Maggie Smith. How could this go wrong. Excellent drama. It looks like a light comedy about a man inheriting an apartment in Paris that is inhabited by a feisty old lady. But it soon turns into a moving drama about families, dysfunctions, and long hidden secrets. The acting is superb as is to be expected by this cast. The scenery is Paris doing what it does best. I am sure I will be watching this one again.
