Harry P (mx) wrote: There were one or two good things about this movie. There was interesting scenery and characters. However, this movie (generally) was fairly poor. It had mediocre acting, and the majority of it was trying to build up tension (but was evidently losing my attention due to the fascinatingly slow-pace the film was going). And when the conclusion arrived, it was disappointing (not because it was relatively predictable), but because the 'beast' looked awful. And, I would also complain about the fact you only see a couple glimpses of the low budget monster (until the end - where you see it properly) - But I'm not going to criticize that aspect, because if you saw more of the 'monster', the film would actually be quite funny and I would have turned it off twenty-odd minutes in.

Tim B (de) wrote: There's probably worse movies, but none with some former a-listers in it that have the ambition of being an epic story. The writing is horrible, the story not compelling in the least and full of clichs, the (over)acting doesn't even reflect in the slightest real emotions or reactions that people in such situations would have and would show (except maybe the main character, although he's pretty much a flatliner). Sad that Hollywood has a budget for monstrosities like this while there's so many brilliant stories out there that can't find funding. Pretty disappointed about Kris Kristofferson, but I'll give him a raincheck due to the fact that he's 80 and has to play a gunslinging cowboy. The whole story does not contain an shred of credibility and the timing is off so often that it's on the verge of being bearable. Really surprised that it scores north of 6 points on imdb and 40 % on rotten tomatoes, I was expecting 11 at the most... I made a profile on your site just to be able to say this... nuff said.
