It's the late sixties, a time of peace signs, free love and revolution; and Kent (Kent Lane DEFIANT, HOOPER) like others of his generation, is looking for a meaning to his life. Driving alone along the Big Sur, he flashes back to difficult memories about college, drugs, family and relationships. The flashback over, Kent is back in his car, but he loses control and crashes over an embankment. Stunned and hurt, Kent starts hitchhiking, not caring which direction. He wanders aimlessly, taking rides from strangers, never making real contact. Then he meets Julie (Michele Carey, LIVE A LITTLE LOVE A LITTLE), who intrigues him and they move in together. Kent still has to find himself and the meaning of his existence. Co-starring Jack Albertson (TV's CHICO AND THE MAN), Manuela Thiess (TERROR CIRCUS), Sam Chew Jr. (TIME WALKER), Teri Garr (FIRSTBORN) and Marcia Strassman (TV's WELCOME BACK KOTTER). Made by award winning director Hall Bartlett (JONATHAN LIVINGSTON SEAGULL)!

Aj V (ca) wrote: A fantastic, yet much too long, melodrama from the famous silent director D.W. Griffith. Forget about Birth of a Nation, this is the film to see. It stars the fabulous Gish sisters and they just melt your heart. The story is brilliant, the movie doesn't even look very old, it has heart and drama. I recommend it.
Brady S (ca) wrote: Not as bad as you'd expect. Not really saying it lots to go for but definitely not bad. I've seen far worst movies.
Amy F (ru) wrote: I had HIGH hopes for this movie, but was sorely disappointed. The acting of Jim Broadbent was wonderful but it wasn't enough to pull this disappointment up from the grave. The couple in this story is so dysfunctional that I hoped that they would split up and the movie would move up and on... but no. We had to assume that they would continue as they were, unresolved and miserable.NOT a "comedy" although there were a few small chuckles in the beginning.Don't waste your time on this. Seriously, it is not a good story and it will probably bore and depress you, even if you can relate to the characters on some level.
