Chariots of the Gods torrent reviews

Drew N (de) wrote: Worst movie EVER! I can't believe I actually stayed awake and kept hoping something cool would happen. It never did. Love the WiFi in the middle of nowhere, no killings, totally pointless catered towards 12 and 13 year olds. Utter garbage. I did LOVE the first one. What happened?? I can't even believe with such a shitty plot that a DTV even got made. I mean who the hell watched any but the first one anyway....

Linlin Y (kr) wrote: Think Scent of Green Papaya, but darker. Minimal dialogue complemented by rich visuals and realistic casting. Slow start, but worth the wait. Theresa Chan is an inspiration.

Sophie S (us) wrote: Good film for scooby doo fans :D

Joao F (au) wrote: Dark comedy at its best, like Delicatessen.

Jay B (de) wrote: I love the cast of this aged creature feature. The once awesome special effects don't hold up so well under today's scrutiny, but I think most will forgive it. The action is worthy, the jokes are funny and the ride is enjoyable.

Mark O (kr) wrote: Steven Weber is the titular gay man living in New York who decides to give up sex, only to fall for HIV+ Steve (played by Michael T. Weiss). This well-written and highly entertaining film is by turns funny, emotionally moving, surreal and life-affirming. The acting is superb, with Patrick Stewart a particular highlight as Jeffrey??s friend Sterling, who has some marvellous lines. You??ll have a great time accompanying Jeffrey on his journey as he attempts to get to grips with dating, sex, relationships, and overcoming his fear of AIDS. His bizarre phone conversation with his parents is an absolute comic delight. A wonderful film.

Becca S (ca) wrote: I loved this when I was a teen and had to let my girls watch it. Great comedy.

Craig B (nl) wrote: Well directed (up to a point, then the direction is.. dazed? Sleepy?), and a good set-piece bathroom murder. Ripe for a remake, I say.

JenniLi D (ru) wrote: A good film when taken as a classic however I'm a left yearning for a resolution for Johnny (whom I felt was very sporting considering he was spurned for a colder heart, and yet he stayed supportive to Hannah throughout the entirety of the film) and Nadine who can almost be seen as a villain in this production fails to even appear after her final number... Its a wonderful movie filled with amazing talent however aside from one or two songs, they add very little to the plot... (something which I think happened a great deal at the time. For example "Shorty George" from "You Were Never Lovelier" a personal favorite of mine and another Fred Astaire film, and the "classic" "dream sequence" and dance from Singing In the Rain...Perhaps I'm being to Critical but I do think that had the musical numbers provided more information as to the story and the side stories revolving around Johnny and Nadine been resolved I would have no problems giving this wonderful movie a 5/5. But what can I say? This movie does have its flaws, still a great watch for the younger generation i think though and a well loved classic.Overall 3/5 stars
