All i wanted to see was how Woody gets through the dilemma and how he makes that very though choice. Felt quite stupid trying to learn life lessons from this movie because it felt like it was going to deliver one. The ending was pretty realistic though.

Petros T (mx) wrote: Among the weakest Tim Burton films, the cheesy "Mars Attacks!" is a middling sci-fi comedy boasting an impressive cast and wacky visuals but one that never becomes truly thrilling.
Danielle S (de) wrote: I thought that it was cute, although the dinosaur effects could've been better. The characters were a little goofy and one dimensional. The movie kept a brisk pace and didn't get too bogged down in any one place.
Rainer K (de) wrote: For all who are fed up with gangster films and biopics - this is one to watch out for. Although it has its fair share of formulaic genre moments it focusses more on the character of its protagonist than on violence and these extreme rises and falls, such genre films are known for (of course there's a story ark but Siegel never seems invincible nor at the edge of his existence). However, I am a bit disappointed now. I like Vegas and hoped for a film that would show me the early beginnings of the city but Bugsy is more of a character study.Unfortunately, Bugsy is still the same old story we've seen decades over decades and doesn't have many memorable lines or standout scenes. I guess I will remember it mostly for its proficient cast. There's Warren Beatty as Bugsy Siegel, a natural casting choice although I found his acting style a bit distracting at times. Even better are Ben Kingsley and Harvey Keitel alongside him as Meyer Lansky and Mickey Cohen respectively. Especially Keitel was just amazing and he stole every scene he was on screen. Not a bad film at all and clearly award bait (as evidenced by its 10 Oscar nominations and Golden Globe Best Drama win) but at this point in my life and as a cinephile I couldn't care less about gangster biopics.

Glen O (br) wrote: A classic British sci-fi epic. The acting is awful but the set designs are very impressive and well rendered. It reflects H.G. Wells' basic pessimism about humanity.
anthony l (mx) wrote: This movie was original but EXTREMELY predictable. I am still trying to figure out why this film has over a 60% fresh rating. Is it the hot chick, the cool looking monster? I love horror flicks and I feel like this one is being forced fed to newcomers by social force. This is a movie you can watch on your free time, not one to pay and see or better yet show to friends to prove you have good movie taste. For real. OK
