Anthony I (mx) wrote: For an animation that's almost three hours long, I have enjoyed this film quite a lot and did not feel boringt at all to me. I knew nothing about the film, not even seen the TV series or read any of the Manga books and yet I felt that I understood what was going on, so watching this movie shouldn't be a problem as it stands well on its own for your enjoyment.

Joe H (nl) wrote: Told with mythological grandeur, Martin Rosen's 1978 adaptation of Richard Adams' classic novel Watership Down is a rousing tale of courage and survival in the face of apocalyptic doom. Borrowing themes from the Aeneid and the Odyssey, Watership Down finds its heroes on their own in a dangerous world after leaving their ill-fated warren. They strike out across the beautiful and menacing English countryside, seeking a place where they can begin a new community founded on independence of thought and ingenuity of spirit. In many ways the film serves as a political allegory, mirroring the struggles between freedom and oppression, reason and blind faith, that we see in contemporary and historical society and government. Further still, the movies serves as a reflection on the inevitability of death and the importance of self-sacrificing perseverance in confronting that inevitability. The expressionistic hand-drawn animation evokes harsh, naturalistic beauty, creating a frightening atmosphere for its characters, and a grim but fascinating atmosphere for its audience. Even though death lingers in every frame, when the journey finally comes to an end, one can't help but feel satisfied and inspired, knowing that an important victory has been won. This is a beautiful and mature film, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Stephen S (ca) wrote: Basically plays out like Restrepo with aliens. That's the best way I can describe this. It is by no means a good film, but it's not bad either. I can't say I'd recommend it, though it is a fairly entertaining watch.

Oscar N (gb) wrote: Landmine Goes Click is a Horror/Thriller film from Sarke Studio a film / production company located in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. I saw the film at the Mile High Festival last month. I have to say its a good film, but its one that makes you think. Its not so obvious when you sit down and watch it for the first time. Its one of them movies that kind of hits you the morning after you sit back and think about the plot, the story line and the ramifications about it. Three tourists are back packing around the Republic of Georgia, whilst taking photos, one steps on a Landmine. Stuck on the landmine he must watch helplessly as the girl he loves is brutally attacked whilst doing everything she can to get him help.
