Isael J (ru) wrote: A very real film with a great cast, great writing, great acting, and extrememly riveting. Mean Creek is a perfect example of why indie films are so loved. A great coming of age tale that has such realistic ways of showing how youth treat each-other and how everybody talks. Mean Creek is perfection.
James D (gb) wrote: I wrote the screenplay ;-) This was A LOT of fun to work on and if we'd had more say in it- it would have been an all-out slapstick gay murder dark comedy (the first of its kind!) The book is the height of late 80's pretension. No wonder there was Grunge in the 90's... take the movie with a grain of salt and much tongue in cheek.

Adam S (de) wrote: A great movie with a completely moronic ending. You wind up watching an entire movie that literally has no conclusion so you just waste your entire time watching a movie that ends abruptly without any closure on anything the plot tries to develop. Absolutely stupid.
