John T (gb) wrote: Caught it on cable, trying to watch something kid-friendly with my 5 year old. It was literally painful to watch - literally, like I got a headache because this movie was so bad. My 5 year old didn't seem to care and just stared at it like a zombie so I had to explain to him how plots are supposed to work.

Christine W (ca) wrote: This is the worst of all the Puppet Master films. I'm terribly sorry but ripping clips from the other movies for this one was NOT artistic or cool. It was horrible. And the puppet at the end did not match the puppet being carved in the movie. I love all the PM series except this one.
Allan C (mx) wrote: Self serious and heavy handed, but still a well made dark fantasy of a young girl working through her fears in a surreal dream world. Stylishly direction and photography are what make the film worth watching, but it's all a rather cold and sterile exercise.

Tim M (de) wrote: Very seldom does a movie so terribly miscast, with plot this utterly ridiculous, and seemingly every reason to be horrible nearly achieve greatness. "Mr. Brooks" is that movie.

Sam A (de) wrote: This is one of my new favorite Hitchcock films purely for its humor. Hitch had a field day with this one with hilarious scenes with great dialogue, ironic turns of events, ludicrous set pieces (a body is buried and dug up again 4 times in one day). Bernard Herrmann's score just adds to the level of ridiculousness with jovial compositions accompanying somewhat sinister footage. The Trouble With Harry is Hitchcock's most humorous and witty film he ever made and it was extremely fun to watch.

Michael B (de) wrote: A modern day Job set in turn of the 20th century Africa. Streep and Redford are remarkable as is the on-location cinematography. The film answers the age-old question of whether it is worth it to experience joy lost as opposed to never having experienced it in the first place. And, the answer is a resounding an unapologetic yes.
