Tony P (fr) wrote: Interesting documentary film about the worst international football team, American Samoa. I say worst in the past tense. We begin the film with the nation at the bottom of the FIFA world rankings. The team have lost 31-0 to that great soccer powerhouse Australia! The team is full of unfit, part-timers. I could go on....Anyway the US Soccer Federation sends a new coach. A US/Dutchman that once played with the likes of George Best.He slowly develops the team and they record their first ever victory in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. The film is a real life Cool Runnings similarity. The film sends the viewer through an emotional journey and makes you think twice about football in particular. A little known documentary film. I had never heard of it or American Samoa for that matter.

While you may not care about the characters, they're at least interestingly written with their own discernible characteristics and motives, which elevates the film above the usual teenage slasher fare. After a point, the twist is pretty easy to see coming, but is handled in a way that makes sense and is mostly believable. Overall, it's not groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination, but it's interesting and worth a watch if you're a fan of the genre.

Chris M (jp) wrote: When I popped in Mortuary, I was only expecting a hopefully entertaining 80's genre movie. Pretty soon, I found myself engrossed by the story and characters on display. Some of the thoughts that crossed my mind were: Who really killed the lead's father? What's up with her aloof mom? Is that Bill Paxton? Wow, Christopher George is awesome! Hot damn, that killer is TERRIFYING! Mortuary is a spooky soap opera on acid. The performances are solid and the killer's disguise is genuinely creepy. There's a few good scares, a few twists, and a really cool ending. The music score is also pretty moody and memorable. It's a must for 80's slasher fans and fans of Christopher and Linda Gay George as well as Bill Paxton who gives a pretty good early performance. It's worth checking out!

Jamin M (au) wrote: As Nostalgia Critic said, Kung Fu Panda has to be the dumbest sounding title ever. But don't let that fool you, because this film is wonderful. It's well written and funny, as you'd expect from a comedy. The characters are very lovable, especially the Kung Fu Panda himself, Po. I really enjoy how determined he is. Even if Master Shifu is trying to get him to quit, he'll still keep trying. The animation is also wonderful, as it should be. The voice acting is great. Like How To Train Your Dragon, it features many well known actors, and they do great. The comedy and action is also very entertaining. I love that the film takes advantage of the fact that it's an animated comedy and gives us some great and sometimes funny action sequences. What's also great about it is than even though it's essentially a comedy, it mixes in drama pretty well. I really like the musical score. too. The only problem I have with the film is the villain. Don't get me wrong, Tai Lung is a very entertaining villain, but with him being a snow leopard and all and his menacing voice, he could've had a better plan than just wanting a dragon scroll. So, he kinda feels weak. But other than that, Kung Fu Panda is among DreamWorks' finest projects. It's funny with characters that you really care about. It's action packed, fun, and just all around wonderful
