Bob M (mx) wrote: Horrible waste of time. Acting was insanely bad.

Karl T (kr) wrote: One of the all time greatest performances I have seen. No Oscar since its not showy. Robbery!

Adam M (us) wrote: Nice bonus 'short' on the Megamind blu-ray. More of the same as the film which is a good thing.

John Y (nl) wrote: It was okay. I will do in a Disney version of Animal Farm could lighten things up & make it appropriate for kids.

Al M (au) wrote: In many ways, Sole Survivor feels like an early-80s harbinger of the Final Destination films--a woman survives a plain crash and becomes enmeshed a supernatural series of events because of it. But, in many ways, Sole Survivor proves a more satisfying film than of the Final Destination series because it never personifies Death in same, stupid way as those films. Instead, it becomes a creepy, supernatural thriller that focuses more upon eeriness than elaborate death scenes. Sole Survivor is not ultimately a great film, but it does manage to employ a relatively original plot to decently creepy ends. Fans of 80s horror cinema will most likely enjoy it.

Wes S (br) wrote: Pieces is a well shot, extra gory, sleazy slasher film with nice amounts of chainsaw action. The plot is weak, and the kills could be more revealing, but the movie is still a fun, colorful time.

Ruby H (gb) wrote: Everyone's favorite demon child is apparently the big draw here..and it is but perhaps not for the reasons intended. Linda Blair along with the rest of the cast are simply atrocious. But unintentionally funny acting, to be fair, is one of the reasons why anyone would indulge in the seemingly bottomless eighties slasher genre. Add some off-beat writing and a few creepy scenes (the rising carpet is a standout) and you get some unexpected fun to sooth the lengthy running time, the bad shots, the inexplicably dim lighting and one of the most annoying scores you can possibly endure. For eighties horror fans only, once is required.

Shaun B (it) wrote: A tale over a period of time set up via a series of vignettes about the character and characters that live in a small town in 1930s Italy as remembered by the great Federico Fellini. Definitely one of his most accessible of films while still retaining that lovely weird and surreal edge he'd found post neo-realism. An absolute joy to watch, Roger Ebert's original review sums it all up very nicely.

chalini w (it) wrote: surprisingly good! i was expecting something lame..but the movie had substance and A grade actors to withstan the almost 3 hours..also features a very good soudtrack.

Adam R (br) wrote: A bold thriller with continuous suspense. I enjoyed how it seems to play out in real time. Everything is well-assembled by Alfred Hitchcock. (First and only full viewing - 10/14/2011)

Scott S (nl) wrote: Dive Bomber (1941) -- [6.5] -- Errol Flynn gives a low-key performance as a dedicated flight surgeon who teams with a bitter pilot (Fred MacMurray) to solve the problem of high altitude sickness and blackouts among Navy dive bombers. Despite the pre-WWII setting, this is more of a straight-forward drama built around the turbulent-turned-respectful relationship between Flynn's and MacMurray's characters. The only thing that bugged me about the movie is a ridiculous comic subplot involving an officer who constantly hides from his nagging wife.

Bearded M (ca) wrote: This is a really great low budget anti-hero movie. At first it is all about the crash and being afraid of Riddick, then BAM, darkness, deadly creatures, screaming and all of a sudden everybody wants to be Riddicks best friend, why? Cause he is cool, and deadly, and oh yeah, I forgot, he is the only person on the whole planet that can see in the dark, which is incredibly helpful when the whole planet is in darkness for an unspecified amount of time and you have to get from point A to point B with deadly things all around you that have no problem seeing in the dark and are also very hungry. Cool. Overall this movie works great, it has a cool look to it, the acting is good and the story is fairly original. Plus it rocked 2 great sequels and introduced Vin Diesels best part to date. Vin was born to play Riddick, and fade to black.4 Beards Out Of 5
