Chris Rock: Big Ass Jokes

Taped in Atlanta, Jokes offers Rock's take on everything from school busing (he's against it) to older women (in general, he prefers them to younger ones). His best routine, involving the inexpensive plain-wrap food his mother bought when he was a child, wouldn't be out of place on a classic Bill Cosby record.

Martin E (mx) wrote: More of a BABY Movie, this flick is so depressing. I thought it was the end of the Moshlings. So in the words of Rage Against The Machine, 'Damn you, I won't do what you tell me!!!!!!!'

Chok S (us) wrote: A less terrifying sequel to the sleeper hit horror film, The Pact. The Pact 2 fails mainly in its story that may keep you engaging, but is poorly connected and concluded together in the end. The climax is unsatisfying and is not even scary or memorable here comparing to the first film. The SCARES here might not be as genuinely creepy as the first but it does have some effective ones as well as cheap ones to have you jump from time to time. There are also some bloody kills but nothing GORY or anything. Overall, this film series has potential to be the next horror hit series like Insidious films due to its engaging story and creepy scares but for now, this sequel will be remembered as the most disappointing one, yet [C+]

Nessa N (es) wrote: It is bad. But what pisses me off is that the tango scene near the fountain is ripped off from Center Stage: Turn it up. Come on!!

Sascha M (nl) wrote: This is an intensely moving historical documentation with great behind the scenes footage of some of the greatest musicians of both continents. I only wish they would have included more concert footage. On the down side, the camera work is rather haphazard and the doc completely lacks the African perspective of what that concert meant for the people of Zaire and the African musicians (most of them superstars in most of Africa).

Rob M (ag) wrote: One of the best kid's sci-Fi movies I've ever seen. Animation is so good. Really captures that 50s drive in feel.

Joel A (ru) wrote: Clint Eastwood often takes pride in the fact that many of his significant films are completely CGI Free & purely focused on Story-Telling.This film is a beautiful & soulful film that many think will be just be a 'Girl Rocky' but goes in an unexpected & powerful direction.A moving film of a Father & Daughter story that has a powerhouse performance by Hillary Swank & probably one of the best supporting actor performances on screen by Morgan Freeman. A wonderful that is just as satisfying years after than I originally saw it.

Olga K (gb) wrote: Absolutely not my type of film, but very real and presents an interesting topic.

Fran P (kr) wrote: School shootings have become a trend, if you will. This movie stayed with me for a long time after watching it because it made me really sad and scared. Watching a film like this, especially hearing about school shootings in the news, really changes your outlook about high school. One must wonder what must go through the shooters' minds so that they could do something really horrible. But this movie took it to the next level: it merely observes instead of making judgment, which is all the more painful. I wish there was a way I can tell unhappy high school kids that things do get better and that they don't have to be miserable for the rest of their lives--that there is an escape, an alternative; that there's no need to result to violence because, in the end, if they do choose the path of violence, they'll only be ruining their lives and those who care about them. This film is hard to take, not only because it's more of an experimental film, but also its subject matter. If you do decide to watch this movie, traverse carefully. You will remember this for a long time.

Madeline M (mx) wrote: There are three parts to this movie and they don't mesh very well, but on their own two of them are quite good. The titular chess players are the best plotline, with the king's story coming second (more Victor Bannerjee!), and then lastly the British Resident's story (the dialogue is much too transparent). Also, it should be said, the movie is sumptuous.
