Mike K (jp) wrote: Sr. Tosar's eyebrows are the real stars of this and many others movie I've happily observed them in. Their onscreen presence is so visceral that plot, characterization, political considerations, production values, and even Gaudi architectural details must take a backseat to them if they are even allowed on the same ride. In this movie, they are creepier than a cockroach invasion, yet more beautiful-especially in the shower scene-than a Gaudi balcony. There should be a special Academy Award dedicated to the star performances of eyebrows in films, from Sean Connery's and Chris Pine's to Audrey Hepburn's and Sophia Loren's. I think Luis Tosar's might trump them all however. And if ever there is a lifetime achievement award for such a highbrow category, I would certainly cast my vote for his!

I really enjoyed this movie and I am not usually the romantic/comedy type guy. This movie make a nice variation. No wonder it was a fairly big hit. It reminds me of a year 2000's screwball comedy of love errors. Some compare this movie to Woody Allen. Me too he immediately came to mind. If only he could make a movie this refreshing and funny!! The Wiki entry about Maggenti does not say much about her biography wise. You can read about the plot in some other reviews. I will say this that the lead character played by Elizabeth Reaser is not as mean as other reviews make her. Duh!! This is a comedy!! The DVD is very crisp clear and beautiful cinematography. I found this movie very amusing.!! three or four stars.!!

Ian R (fr) wrote: I think this gets a bad rap. First of all it's insane, literally non-stop musical numbers with the barest minimum of plot. But it's so crazed and weird that you can't look away. Prince is almost a side character but that's okay, because Morris Day steals the show with his goofiness. It's hard to say if this is a "good" movie but it's incredibly watchable.
