Hal M (fr) wrote: A very good screenplay by Catherine Corsini, but not a very good film. The cast members are badly mismatched, and Corsini has no idea how to use music to enhance her atmosphere. Relentlessly dreary.

Paul D (au) wrote: Tough urban gangster drama with a very downbeat style and message, but made with plenty of thought.

Dolly E (au) wrote: Waiting for this movie to come out. Enjoyed the book

John T (nl) wrote: I liked the way this was filmed, in the kind of crazy speed style.

Kenneth L (nl) wrote: Direct history changing communication with the past works here very well as a dramatic device. As a physical possibility it would require a much more powerful push than a big solar storm & aurora in a 30 light year radius perfectly focused to just budge one moment in time space into into annihalating regenerative resonance. And forget having plural memory for events that never accured in that time line. To even try that would blow your mind & leave you totally psychotic. The most powerful fusion bombs can't manage more than a few feet for just a fraction of a light milisecond radius.

Kristin R (mx) wrote: A lovely remake of a classic movie. I remember loving the original as a child! It had everything I remembered and I found it very touching.

Paul A (kr) wrote: not bad but it could of been better.. not really worth watching it unless you love western movies. The acting was great.. but the storyline was a little dull

Irina G (jp) wrote: Great visuals and music, this movie definitely raised the bar in cinema history.

Diane J (ag) wrote: For some reason I thought Kathryn Hepburn played this role... she should have anyway.

Julian B (gb) wrote: Um bom drama, cuja histria no das melhores, mas os personagens so interessantes e as atuaes timas. Sem falar que Marlon Brando e Elizabeth Taylor juntos j valem a sesso. Gostei.

Alexis R (de) wrote: Space Pirate Captain Harlock Movie Review! It feels so refreshing and amazing to see a movie that defies even the most grandest of expectations that anyone can ever set. This movie is definitely (now) amongst the Top 5 Greatest Movies Ever in my list! The premise is thus: Many years into the future, after colonizing in many different planets, the human race is issuing a recall for most of the humans to return. But with more than 400 billion humans out there, the planet cannot contain the amount. Thus, The Homecoming War; a war erupted to see who gets the privilege to return. The size and the scale of this movie is tremendous. The visuals are amazing and (though originally the audio is in Japanese) the voice acting is actually very well done. The style and flare are just little droplets of even more amazement that the movie has to offer. The ending is also extremely touching. Though I firstly envisioned a different finale for it, I am very pleased with what came out. What a spectacle. This movie receives a 10 out of 10. (5 stars)
