Robert I (it) wrote: Stupid British slapstick. Not my cup of tea at all. Simon Pegg as a guest in a very early role. Bill Nighy spends an all too short amount of time as a guest at the beginning of the movie.

When I worked at a video store, this used to be one of the owner's favorite Christmas movies to watch so I'd seen this film way too many times. For a Disney live-action film, it's actually pretty good and surprisingly serious in parts. The best part though is the oddball casting of Harry Dean Stanton as an angel.

However, as much of a silly kind of "B" movie it was - I thought it was coherent, witty, funny, the random sound effects were too funny, purposely having chicks running around naked throughout the movie made it even funnier. I like the fact that the movie didn't take itself seriously and yet still had a clear story line. Definitely nothing intellectual about it - but 100 times better than some similar movies with a ton of famous people (example: Behaving Badly)... This was entertaining! I liked it.
