There is a lot of to and froing, once you get set with one screw job another comes along. The performances are good Nivola and Witherspoon do well but i feel Josh Brolin is the stand out talent here.

Cillas L (es) wrote: This is an excellent psychological thriller with good performances by Boris Karloff and Anna Lee. Unlike a dozen of today's horror movies (I mean, with a lot of carnage and blood), the real climax of this movie is presented to us on the dialogues and acting itself. I think, that's why some people -- especially, the youngers -- might not enjoy this production. But for Cinema lovers, it is a worth watching movie.
Tristan M (es) wrote: As a fan of the Titanic and having an interest in ship disasters for a long time I figured I would like this one, and wasn't disappointed. I know it's based on true events and such and I honestly don't know anything about the real disaster but it seemed very exaggerated and unrealistic, although this is very common in Hollywood films of course. The cast is good, has some god familiar faces for sure, some of them are in the sidelines a little too much prehaps but they can't always be the centre of attention. The love story is funny, the girl asking him to marry her, him saying no then saying yes because she got mad, a little dumb in my eyes but ok maybe it happened I always think. The actual ship ripping in too and all the efforts to salvage it were my favourite parts to the film for sure, just my interest, and the whole rescue operation I feel like they would age died for sure if they rolled in that many waves as they did, I know the boats are tough and meant to plow under the water like that but rolling and jumping like that is a bit extreme I think but who am I to know. I just know it looks fake. The effects themselves were very good I have to say, and the script and acting was pretty good as well. Overall the movie is always moving and gets exciting often, although not full on all the time, just feels over dramatic and too much was added to keep it intense when often the true story would be even more so done right. But liked the movie regardless
