When a lawyer loses an appeal to stop a logging company from clear-cutting Native American land, Arthur, an Indian militant drags him and the kidnapped logging mill manager into the forest. The lawyer's empty talk about how the company's greed should be punished is put into brutal action by Arthur, who tortures the manager in allegorical ways mimicking what loggers do to the forest.

This led to the living dead returning to feast on the living in increasingly bloody, tasteless, and poorly made Italian EuroZom films. There is copious splattery gore but nothing genre fans haven't seen in better films. Margrit Evelyn Newton takes off her shirt at some point as she and another reporter and a team of Special Forces types wander around a zombie-plagued New Guineau jungle waiting to get picked off one-by-one by the increasing army of zombies. Oh, did I mention all the badly edited in stock footage of African animals and tribal ceremonies?

With little or no plot or dialogue, shot on a shoestring, quirky, obsessive and naive, it sails dangerously close to being a Golden Turkey and yet is mesmerising and enchanting. Pure romance and sweet innocent delectable horror which goes deep to the root of the genre's appeal - the darker corners of the subconscious illumined by sudden flashes of reason - in an eccentric but memorable manner.
(ru) wrote: Incredible story, fantastic charachter developement, great directing and dialogues. One of the best movies of all time.
(au) wrote: The best documentary ever made! The death of the flower/power generation caught on film. Everything woodstock stood for was stabbed in the back of the head with this scathing portrait by the Maysles.

(gb) wrote: Who stole the show here? Gosling... Crowe... no, Angourie Rice. She was by far the highlight of this 70s-based buddy cop film. Part violence, part slapstick, this movie isn't for everyone- but it accomplished what it set out to do. Gosling was surprisingly good with comedic timing. Rating: 6.75/10
