College Road Trip

College Road Trip

When an overachieving high school student decides to travel around the country to choose the perfect college, her overprotective cop father also decides to accompany her in order to keep her on the straight and narrow.

Police chief and hyper-protective father James drives his teenage daughter, Melanie, from their home in Chicago to a college interview in Washington, D.C. This is a typical road trip movie with lost cars, bumming rides on buses and planes, covering that difficult time of life when a father loses control of his daughter. . Dan H (nl) wrote: I liked it the first time I saw it (several years ago), and I still like it a lot now. The film is equal parts funny and sad. When workers at a gym stumble across a CD containing financial info for an ex-CIA guy, things spiral wildly out of control for everyone involved. Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand, and J.K. Simmons were my favorite parts of this film (with J.K. Simmons delivering the best line of the film), but every actor here does a great job with the role they are given. The plot is complex and a bit confusing, but this is still a very entertaining and even surprisingly fun film about a bunch of normal, dull people. I loved it

Indra W (ca) wrote: A movie about people who forgot how to talk and choosing the right word to say. While doing so may save lives. The plot is clever but they will not happen if people just talk. So, this is another stupid movie.

Justin T (de) wrote: A new take on the western but ultimately it's a by the books movie. Robert Duvall awesome, Kevin Costner less awesome.

Rita M (us) wrote: It's not an oscar movie but I do recommend. it was interesting especially because I didn't know this part of history.
