(au) wrote: Yup. I watched this.
(ca) wrote: It was very pleasing to see Van Damme play the role of a bad guy. Awesome heavy hitting fighting scenes. The hair due definitely accommodated his insane bad guy role.
(kr) wrote: Enjoyable, funny film. That has a nice background meaning of "friends sticking together"

The injustices on display are sobering and, perhaps most frustratingly, the charity that I've come to expect from Iranian films doesn't save the day here. Beautifully written and tastefully filmed, this is one sobering flick.

(it) wrote: Finally! Spike Lee returns to the kind of character driven drama that made him famous. And, it works. Norton as a recently convicted drug dealer whose last night of freedom is a look at not only the life he has lost but of the lives he has interfered with because of his decisions based on self. Excellent cinematography and stellar performances from a top notch cast. Lee gets this one right as he fearlessly guides this social drama with not only something to say but a well directed way to say it.

(ca) wrote: Easily the best of the Jack Ryan films, it might be a bit overlong, but it delves into moral complexity and an intelligent plot in a way not seen enough in most action thrillers. With some surprising emotional potency, and a great examination of the moral compromise forced by political machinations, Harrison Ford takes a fantastic turn as a lone man of truth in a context of lies and death. Some great cinematography and action only adds to the equation.
(es) wrote: needed more mutant butterflies. this title lied! still a beautiful-fucked-up movie anyway, with one of Jeremy Irons top-notch performances. There really isn't another Cronenberg movie quite like it, but at the same time it's themes run deep in the rest of his work so it feels right.

(au) wrote: 44% One of those 80's Movies that really got you thinking "meh". It has it's moments, and it has it's failures, but really the whole movie was Diane Keaton just trying too hard. "Baby Boom" does not reach the level as one of the classic 80's Movies. Really just a so-so comedy.
