Compound Fracture

Michael Wolffsen (Tyler Mane) receives an urgent phone call and takes his nephew and fiancee and makes the journey home to his only other living relative: his estranged, eccentric (and extremely paranoid) father, Gary (Muse Watson), who is obsessed with building an unassailable compound. Once they arrive at Gary’s modest home, surrounded by acres and acres of grounds full of cameras and other security sensors, Michael is surprised and concerned to learn that his father is in the early stages of dementia. The house is now also covered in supernatural and occult symbols. Welcome to the compound, COMPOUND FRACTURE. Will the stronghold that was designed to save them be their everlasting tomb?

D M (de) wrote: So what we have here is a follow-up (not really a sequel) to the supremely awesome Monsturd. Once again the film takes place in Butte County and the same evil doctor (Dr Stern) is back at again. This time he's not creating a poop monster, but grossly improving the mental capabilities of the town's mental defectives with a serum he developed. Sounds like the good doctor has turned his life around and is using genius to improve the lives of the locals, right? Well unfortunately his serum quickly turns the retards into brain-hungry zombies. Very goofy and over-the-top campiness, but that is to be expected. Not as good as Monsturd. but still worth a watch, especially for the previews/fake commercials at the beginning of the film.

Ifiok O (br) wrote: If you couldn't tell from looking at the box cover, this low budget movie features Jesus fighting vampires; this is definitely not to be considered the highest point of cinema. This movie may be bad beyond belief, but no form of dissuasion could keep the curious away.

Stacey O (jp) wrote: Whilst it is dated, it's still got a scary vibe that transcends it's age.

Philip W (es) wrote: A drama centered around an army guard stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Camp X-Ray is slow paced at times but still delivers a powerful piece in this post 9/11 era. Kirsten Stewart is cold, silent, and emotional throughout, carrying this movie the majority of the times as her surrounding cast (save Peyman Moaadi, the inmate she interacts with) offers very few contributions. None the less, X-Ray is a quiet, straight forward film that sheds light to a subject that has and will continue to effect us as modern terrorism has become prevalent to all our lives.
