Janne K (ru) wrote: Ykstotinen zombie-takaa-ajo irlantilaisvivahtein.

Lynda M (ag) wrote: Pedro Almod-var's trend of sex and comedy combined is not everyone's fun, but I found this one cheeky and more original than most.

Daniel S (nl) wrote: Hard to go wrong with all the talent involved here both in front and behind the camera, it's pretty much an acting seminar, with robinson doing the best job i felt, he has prolly the most lines and is the most memorable character, i know it's based off a play and does feel kinda stagey at times, but it's still quite riveting, with the approaching hurricane outside adding to the tension inside between the gangsters and the protagonists, any fan of old hollywood noir films will enjoy this
James H (jp) wrote: A VERY REMARKABLE CAST IN A NOT SO REMARKABLE MOVIE. YET ANOTHER OVERBLOWN, OVER COLORFUL MUSICAL. I FEW GOOD NUMBERS HERE AND THERE, BUT VERY ROUTINE.
Bradley K (ru) wrote: As much as I love Tourneur, I must concede that this a minor work. The opening is so atmospherically compelling and the finale so outrageous it makes the body of the film feel oddly out of place and disappointing. Most of the film is carried (or not carried) by expository dialogue rather than mood and the central dangers of the protagonists are never truly understood until the final confrontation. All in all it's a shame because there are some really fine moments in the film.
Molly R (es) wrote: Okay, but could be better.
Anastasia B (fr) wrote: The script starts brilliantly but screws it up around the corner, Kim Novak can't act and Ray Walston should not sing... Really! Then why this movie still feels like a classic? Billy Wilder can't fail: Dean Martin deconstructs his own image as "Dino" and Cliff Osmond proves to be quite the talent. The movie surprises you when you least expect it- I <3 billy !!!
