It shows off some of the slickest time lapse footage ever and I think generally, it is a soothing experience and an audiovisual feast. This is the small brother to Baraka, showing ideas, bits and pieces from the arc that are more prominent in it's big brother. Don't let the year fool you, this was done in '85.

Mark A (fr) wrote: Stylistically exuberant, bitingly funny, and overall exquisitely well-acted and directed, Sexy Beast is a unique arthouse crime drama- its intentionally small scope and attention to character and dialogue rather than plot are comparable to that of Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs
Steve D (kr) wrote: twisted and clearly not for everyone (bestiality anyone?) but its manic sense of humor makes it far better than the much more beloved "The Mask"
John L (br) wrote: This Movie scratches a nice itch if you are a gambler like myself. Even so, some of it seems a little fake. Al Pacino works well in his role and the movie does have its dramatic moments concerning the ups and downs of sports-betting.
Adam R (es) wrote: An average romantic comedy from the nineties. It's watchable, but I wasn't especially fond of it. (First and only full viewing - 1/6/2015)
