Saskia v (jp) wrote: Maybe a little bit too long but otherwise a wonderful movie and a must see for horse lovers. The exciting story of the famous little horse (only 1.58m) who could jump like there's no tomorrow, and of course its rider, Pierre Durand so wonderfully portrayed by Guillaume Canet who can ride very well himself being the son of horse breeders, which makes for more realistic riding scenes.

Christina R (es) wrote: While I thought the main theme/motif of "vision" in this film was rather clever, this film was a little boring. The character's pervasive unhappiness, the scenes of long silences, meaningful looks, and the cold Manhattan backdrop only made it more depressing to watch. Heather Graham's necessary nude scene (seriously, when DOESN'T this chick get naked?) is probably the only thing that will be remembered by most viewers, and it is rather awkward anyway.

Brian G (gb) wrote: McDormand is truly the heart and soul of Fargo, and she delivers her role as an officer of the law with pride. Violent, sinister, and relevant to timely matters, Fargo earns its place as one of the best things cinema has ever produced.

E L (es) wrote: A homage to the old classics, with great cinematography, although it will require quite a bit of suspension of disbelief.

Private U (de) wrote: This movie was an utter piece of crap. The only thing that saved it was there was some good acting in it. Mark Damon appears as the "bad" guy (he also appeared in the classic "Fall Of The House Of Usher"). What gets me is this movie was filmed in 1973 and is rated "R". Why? There's no tit's, no blood, not even anything scary. There's a sort of "twist" ending but by that time you've wasted 80 minutes of your life and who cares?

Greg W (kr) wrote: It comes from Disney's thoroughly proved mother lode: movies for the kids that adults will stay to enjoy themselves.

Byron B (mx) wrote: That gangster James Cagney can sing and dance!! Lots of toe tapping patriotic classics by George M. Cohan. I enjoyed this biopic very much especially for Cagney's against type performance. He is very talented.

Tina S (jp) wrote: I found this movie at the Dollar Tree. Cary is more dramatic in this one, very touching.

Ken S (it) wrote: Alfred Hitchcock's second Hollywood film is actually much more his style than "Rebecca" had been. It involves an American newspaper reporter going to Europe to cover a story, and getting indadvertedly involved with a Spy Ring. While I don't think it is technically as good as "Rebecca," I might have enjoyed it more. It just felt more like a Hitchcock picture with suspense and murder and some fairly effective moments like when a guy is SHOT in the FACE (more graphic than I am used to seeing in films of this time period), and the fantastic plane crash sequence, which is very impressive for it's day. I think Hitch was off an running at this point, most of his kinks worked out, he began to really make the kind of films he is now so recognized for.

Bradley K (mx) wrote: Formal brilliance and powerful performances but not a very satisfying viewing.

Sam M (de) wrote: The 1993 film "Menace II Society" is by far the best film of the year. The film shows that there is no easy way out of the hood and sends that message like no other film does. The film also greatly portrays how even the easiest things will set these gangbangers off and can drive them to kill. Just overall a terrific and greatly powerful film a 5/5
