Andy C (ag) wrote: Not so good horror! Bad acting

Matt C (mx) wrote: A serious and compelling subject which stands on its own, however this documentary is pure advocacy with a one sided slant that tells much less than the full story to an insulting degree.

Felipe F (au) wrote: Featuring a mesmerizing reliably turn from Frank Langella as the unchancy President Nixon, this semi-documentary is witty in its depiction of one the most controversial interview in history.

James L (ru) wrote: Incredible film based on the true story about a POW escapee in the Laotian jungle.....the film has just enough drama and dialogue to bring you in and the solid acting from Bale and Zhan keeps the film entertaining ! 3 stars

Shunty M (it) wrote: The best movie of all time. Totally worth to watch it!

Matt B (de) wrote: There's hardly a story in Robots, but in this case it doesn't matter. It's one of the most beautiful animated movies I've ever seen. SO MANY PRETTY COLORS!

Kathy P (au) wrote: When their mother dies, four children fight to stay together. Watching the story fold out is pretty fun...it begins with sirens blaring and lots of lights. Something about it looms with the excitement/wonder of childhood. Fun music by the Osmonds, and a very happy ending. May be a bit cheesy, but it's the good kind of cheese.

Alex Z (de) wrote: This movie is pure brillance! Eating Raoul is hilarious and has an awesome story! About a couple who is desperate for money, decides to whore themselves and become swingers, kill the people and steal their money, etc. It gets very very interesting though once Raoul shows up in the picture. He catches the couple killing people and makes a deal with them not to tell the police as long as he gets to take the bodies with him. It sounds totally retarded but its so funny! It has such an awkward story but such a brilliant plot! Totally hilarious and ridiculous from beginning to end! The characters were perfect and played wonderful roles. Just an incredibly fun movie and really really satisfying! Eating Raoul is such a cult classic and cannot be missed!

Kevin G (it) wrote: I loved both Bacula movies. William Marshall was completely underrated. I first saw him on, you guessed it, "Star Trek" as Dr. Richard Daystrom, who used his own human engrams to construct "The Ultimate Computer.

Dane P (kr) wrote: A slow pleasant film with great surrealism and some pretty funny scenes.

Alex S (au) wrote: This is probably the most comedic role that I've seen Gregory Peck in, and he did quite well!. I really enjoyed this movie. The clothing is amazing, the acting is good, the dialogue was quick, and the story was intriguing, keeping one riveted to each detail. This film might be tough to find, but it's definitely one to see for any Bacall or Peck fans.

Turtleboy G (ag) wrote: This is by far one of the worst movies ever made. It wasn't scary, funny, exciting, it was nothing! In about the last half hour, I was so excited that it was ending that I almost just stopped watching it. It definitely wasn't memorable or good in any way. It was just stupid and plain boring. There wasn't a single scene that I thought was fun or exciting. And to be honest, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm giving this movie a 0.5/5.

Filius S (ag) wrote: Real Steel is the story of a boy and his father, an ex boxer played by Wolverine, and their fight to the top of a Robot Boxing league. Essentially, this movie takes place in the future where real boxing has been replaced with robo boxing; kinda like battle bots, but the robots are all humanoid looking. Anyways, Wolverine plays a deadbeat who can't catch a break, and whose robot keeps getting the shit kicked out of him. For reasons I won't get into in this review, Wolverine's son ends up having to live with him for a while, and they end up at a junk yard one day where the kid finds a rare prototype robot named Atom who is designed to take hits, and can mirror the movements of his operator. With their new robot ready to go, wolverine and his boy go back to the robot battle arena, and kick robot ass. When the movie first came out, someone told me it was Rock em Sock em Robots: The Movie, and I believed them because, I mean, they're making movies from every piece of shit novelty franchise these days (see: Battleship). But one day I happened to catch the movie after a couple minutes into the first act, and as I started watching it, I couldn't help but realize I was actually really engaged. Something about this movie just happens to fall in line, and creates a fun action movie, buffered by great acting, and some surprisingly touching moments. The script isn't anything super original, but the director makes good use of it, and as you watch it you find yourself actually caring about the characters in a way you didn't really expect.Technically speaking, there's nothing in this movie that's too fantastic, but the CGI is well executed, and manages to blend very well with the rest of the scenery (including the actors, typically a difficult feat). For a movie that essentially has "Robots Fighting" as its logline that's an important point, and it's this point that clinches it a good rating. TL;DR - 7/10It's not Citizen Kane, but it's also not trying to be. Real Steel delivers on every count that it needs to, and thanks to some solid acting from the cast, great character design for the robots, and an engaging world, the film becomes not only something worth watching when you're bored, but something that you'll find yourself having fun watching. If you're in the mood for an action flick with a bit of heart, give this one a view.
