The Crusades: Crescent & the Cross presents the epic battle between two superpowers of the Middle Ages: the Christian Crusaders and the Muslims. Fought over two centuries, the conflict decided the fate of the Holy Land of the Middle East. Only a tiny strip of land, just a few hundred miles long, it contained the ultimate prize: the city of Jerusalem. The documentary is driven by the key personalities of the First, Second and Third Crusades, the popes, kings, sultans, and knights who, in the name of God, ruthlessly fought for land and power. Experience the murder, treachery, and bloodshed of this legendary chapter of history through the eyes of key historical figures such Richard the Lionheart and Saladin, King Louis VII and Nur al-Din. With breathtaking CGI-enhanced visuals, heart-pounding reenactments, and the stunning footage from rarely seen locations, The Crusades: Crescent & the Cross brings the first three Crusades alive for a new generation in conflict. . Antony O (mx) wrote: Very average supernatural (or is it?) thriller, arriving in cinemas 2 years late. Hmmm, a warning right there. It's all set-up and no payoff as we're left wondering who or what the mysterious girl "Ernessa" actually is. Shame, as there were a few interesting ideas here

David E (us) wrote: My campus library was giving away VHS tapes for free in order to make room, so when I came upon "A Man and A Woman" I was rather interested, especially after it won the Palme d'Or and 2 Oscars (for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Screenplay). After watching it, I really enjoyed the overall sentimental feel of the film: the characters (Anouk Aime was nominated for Best Leading Actress), the story, the direction by Claude Lelouch (who was nominated for Best Director), and the music; the filming techniques of the film were great and unique, too (switching between color, black-and-white, and monochrome)."A Man and A Woman" is one of the best Romance films I've seen (next to - in my opinion - "Gone With the Wind", "Casablanca", "The Bridges of Madison County", "Titanic", "Eyes Wide Shut", and "9 1/2 Weeks")! An outstanding film that should be seen; this is how romance films should be!

Chris N (es) wrote: Jon Heder is really great, but as a whole, the film is just really unfocused & doesn't really know where it's going. One of the weaker films that Todd Phillips has brought us.
Baurushan J (ru) wrote: The story is set in the near future where a technology named quantum tunneling has been invented to travel through parallel universes. The abuse of this ability by criminal elements has led to the formation of the Multi-Verse Authorities, an agency of quantum traveling cops who apprehend violators of inter-dimensional laws. Former agent Gabriel Yulaw played by Jet Li goes rogue murdering his own kind in every universe and becoming more and more powerful but the final Gabriel Yulaw also played by Jet Li who remains in our universe and is living with his wife played by Carla Gugino is still remained to be dead and he won't allow that as he is also becoming stronger. Hot on the trail of the evil Yulaw, are former partner Harry Roedecker played by Delroy Lindo and Evan Funsch played by Jason Statham. The two Gabriel Yulaws must fight to see who can become THE ONE! The movie was a brilliant creative story but yes, I had the same problems that everyone else had. 1. It borrows elements from other science-fiction movies like The Matrix and by doing this, this film is not a tribute/homage nor a parody/spoof and 2. Jet Li's martial arts abilities and the storyline is overshadowed by the editing and special effects. The One (2001) gets a 6.5/10.
