(ca) wrote: A nice drama-comedy. The idea is very good gut it's not well developed. The cast is also good but the fails in story are what makes the movie not to work completely.
(ru) wrote: Weta Workshop decided to venture on its own to do this, and the result is almost there. As a fantasy film, it's fine, but lacking in uniqueness. The actors do their part, especially Sam Neil, who look like a modern alcoholic Gandalf. Watch if you've got nothing to do.
(it) wrote: A creepy film that could have some good potential but it didn't really reach its full potential in the end
(mx) wrote: I very wasn't sure what I was in for when I was told to watch his film. But suprisingly it was actualy well worth the time. The storyline is good, acting is excellent, if at times a little cheesy. Absolutely hillarious.

(ca) wrote: i struggled with the 2nd star on this one. bein a big eastwood fan i was wanderin half way thru the film what he was on. the whole film was dissjointed, tired and cliched. u begin to already know who dunnit half way thru because the film isnt givin you any other suspects. felt like i had no time to grasp any of the characters (dare i say the film needed to be longer) and care about them. paul rodriguez as leuitenent Arrango was a really poor choice as the hard talkin no nonsense sterotypical leuitenent which made me realise clint was desperate for and actor. seems bit ironic that at a time when clint seems to be past his best its hard with this bile to say 'stick to directing'.

(us) wrote: Gorgeous, unique, and, most of all, quirky, "Amelie" is that rare film that makes us appreciate life all around us. It's simple premise and wonderful protagonist played by the talented Audrey Tautou keeps us invested and smiling thanks to a well-written script, a detailed direction by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and one of kind cinematography delivered by Bruno Delbonnel. It's romantic, funny, and relatable. Definitely a good film to watch with a love one.
(mx) wrote: I wanted to like this movie more. The first half has so many great moments. But by the time the serial killer shows up, it keeps getting worse and worse until it reaches an ending so cheap and unfair that you feel cheated and lied to. Half of a good movie in here somewhere.
(es) wrote: Of the Exorcist clones, this is funnier than most. Less graphic than the Italian ones, and the gender politics are mad reactionary. But if you skip to the Carol Speed as Abby vs. Blackula scenes, it can be a fun party film. Still no decent DVD, though. C'mon, TCM Underground!
(jp) wrote: A classic and influential sci-fi shocker. With great performances and well executed suspense and jolts, Alien owes everything to this film. A masterpiece for the sci-fi genre.
(gb) wrote: This cast is fantastic. That is the reason I had to scope it out. The story feels a bit small and self indulgent, but the leads really do shine... and manage to play against type to great surprise. Toss these names a more deserving script and you have a winner.
