Jerem M (ag) wrote: Weak plotting and even weaker acting ruin a perfectly good concept thriller a la Saw or Cube. The characters reveal things late into the story that normal people might speak up about much earlier. It's enough to keep you interested, though, until the silly ending.

Saku N (br) wrote: Funny in spots. I liked the relationship Diane Keaton had with her daughters. Open and honest about everything.

MHussain K (it) wrote: Cool one ... an interesting one .. was not expectin it to be that cool ...

Jeff W (it) wrote: My favorite movie of all time! I rented it so many times that eventually it became cheaper to buy it on eBay! I've been passing it around to sophisticated friends ever since. If you like smart humor or dry, sarcastic humor, then you'll love Melvin Goes to Dinner! I love it when my dinners turn out like this!

FuHao C (kr) wrote: yeah, the historical stuff is pretty spotty, but the story is captivating and the performances are good.

danny d (de) wrote: the epic story of master wong continues with a very strong middle piece to the trilogy. compared to the original, the fight scenes are a bit less memorable, the supporting characters not as good, and there are more failed attempts at humor. despite that, the story was almost as good as the original, and saying the fighting wasnt as good isnt a knock as the fighting in the original is some of the best ever and the fighting in this film is still great as compared to a lot of other kung fu movies. overall this is a solid sequel and a great stand alone kung fu movie in its own right.

Russell G (gb) wrote: There are no big knee slapping hard laughs to be found here but I thought it was somewhat fun, lightly humorous, and quirky. Michael Keaton is the movie(TM)s strongest asset as he portrays a character of a reluctant 1930s mobster with a kinder heart than most of his gangster peers. Joe Piscopo and Peter Boyle are nice castings but the would have benefited the movie if they had bigger parts. The largest drawback to this movie is that it never really gets going and putters along with the same level of mild humor the whole way through. After a while it does loses its luster and settles for mediocrity. It was a decent idea for a comedy movie and the cast seemed right for the job, but it was missing a few things.

Richard L (es) wrote: This is a film sequel that should not have been made in the first place. This film has great actors, but it has a terrible story.

Jo Y (ag) wrote: Wonderful..you gotta see this.!!!

Johann M (jp) wrote: Judi Dench puts a remarkable and charming performance that makes you feel Philomena's story and laugh at her occurrences while probably remembering the cuteness of your own grandma. The contrast between the personalities of the two lead characters, boosted with crisp dialogues, excellent acting and an interesting story, makes for a pretty enjoyable movie.

Lisa Michelle A (jp) wrote: I think you will only love this film if your a fan of Dolph Lundgren, and luckily for me i am!!! I don't like every film he's ever made, just a select few, with Silent Trigger being my ultimate favorite of his. I have loved this ever since i first saw it, about 6 years ago now. The first time i saw it i didn't catch if from the beginning, i caught it from about 15mins in. The second time it was on i watched it from the beginning, and now own the DVD. I love this film because it has action, suspense, thrills, gun fights and a great storyline. Gina Bellman is a great partner for Dolph, and it was so different seeing her in a film like this, as i'm so used to her being in Coupling! So it was a refreshing change to see her sink her acting talents into something as great as Silent Trigger is! But like i said, unless your a fan of Dolph Lundgren then it probably won't be to everyone's taste. But i still recommend it to everyone. It has an R rating, which to me is an 18, so it could be too violent for most people to truly appreciate how great a film it really is, but still give it a try, as you never know, you could love it as much as me!!!

Al M (us) wrote: I enjoyed the premise and execution of The Uninvited initially--a woman so afraid of open spaces that she cannot move away from walls or let her arm dangle over the edge of the bed attempts to deal with the childhood traumas that caused her condition. Its creepiness and intelligence wear thin well before the film's climax.
