Larry Y (ca) wrote: Unoriginal "back from the dead" movie of interest only to wrestling fans since it stars Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Sid Vicious, and Glacier (remember him?). Skip it.

Kinohi N (fr) wrote: You kinda saw where this was going after a point. Though I admit there were enjoyable parts in between. Wonderful how the Duplasses created suspense out of both awkward romantic misfires and pursuit by a masked killer.

Nacho M (kr) wrote: While it does suffer from unbalanced characters screentime and not very deep characters, Inglorious Basterds has great action, humor, outstanding performances and great dialogue. Its simply a very entertaining film from star to finish, without a doubt another great film in Tarantinos filmography.

Bobby D (es) wrote: Framed in a bombed out city in Japan, the story follows the daily survival of two young lovers. An ex soldier and the woman he left behind try to figure out how they can when they can continue thier lives as thier very natures seem at "war" with the new brutal economic realities, but still they try to cling to thier youthful dreams and each other. At one point they speak directly to the audience (1947 Japan) in a passionate plea for everyone to help them (other real life couples) rebuild thier lives together as a country. Probably one of Kurosawa's finest use of camera placement and cutting in one of his modern dramas.

Paul M (jp) wrote: Not breaking new ground (in fact I think this general premise has been used in many, many horror films), but it's quite well done and it's foreign (Australia), so it'll make you feel all fancy watching a foreign film. Plus it's supposedly based on real events. I'm a little surprised at some of the statistics, though.
