David B (gb) wrote: Very good Paul Schrader film. I found it a bit unsatisfying taken as a whole, but it's certainly well worth watching, with some very fine moments. Willem Defoe is great, Dana Delany is awful, and we're treated to David Spade as (and this what he is actually credited as) the "Theological Cokehead."

Matthew C (gb) wrote: Very dated in its presentation of then contemporary celebrities and musicians narrating and/or singing the stories of individual short cartoons. This is one instance where the parts are greater than the whole. While the feature contains some beautiful and iconic Disney short films, the larger, anthological presentation is clumsily handled. While noting certain Hollywood limitations due to WWII, it's not too unreasonable to expect something more cohesive and less jumbled and busy. It's certainly unerstandable that Disney has largely chosen to present these shorts individually in the years since Make Mine Music's theatrical release.
