Corey B (ag) wrote: very old school businessmen movie, the blueprint for Oliver Stone's "Wall Street", there aren't very many good business drama movies. They were rare then as they are now. The corporate world was a crooked soap opera then, it's just as crooked now if not more worse. There should be more movies like this these days. I heard there is a sequel to "Wall Street" coming.

The film was the first to publicly admonish the Nazi party, which back in 1939 was a bold decision. Confessions can be faulted for a lacking supporting cast and timid direction, but it still serves as a fascinating time capsule of the social state of America prior to entering the war.

Grant H (it) wrote: Bad movie. Its plot is generic, unoriginal and boring, its timeline is confusing and mundane, its direction is mediocre. The only real thing it has going for it is the performances, and even those need work.

Michael B (es) wrote: The critics are morons. This was a great movie. Not Harrison Ford's best. But the film was a still great action film.
