16 year old LP (Håkon Bolstad) has just graduated from junior high school. He lives in Oslo and he's the only-child to a middle-class couple. Wanting to get away from his parents he steals a sailboat, vaguely envisioning to look up some girl he once knew a bit down the Oslofjord. Not knowing how to sail he almost collides into a pier when the stunningly beautiful Line (Benedikte Lindbeck) rescues him. She jumps on board and joins LP on his journey. LP is sullen and introvert, however, the confident and well versed girl thaws him as they continue on their sunny escapade of the Oslofjord archipelago. Then LP's father (played by seasoned Norwegian leading actor Nils Ole Oftebro) appears and demands the end to the adventure. A battle of wills ensues between the equally stubborn father and his offspring. Neither has really learned to know the other, and Line becomes the catalyst which makes both realize new aspects about the other.
LP is a young boy that thinks his parents are there just to annoy him. Therefore he escapes from home. He steals a sailing boat and sails out of the Oslo fjord. On one of his stops he meets... . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki
Dann M (de) wrote: John Turturro writes, directs, and stars in the indie comedy Fading Gigolo. After receiving an unusual proposal, a financially struggling man gets talked into becoming a gigolo. Co-starring Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, and Vanessa Paradis, the casting is pretty good; as are their performances. Yet the story is rather pointless, and the characters aren't developed that much. There are some nice bits of comedy and a few poignant dramatic moments, but none of it's followed through on. Though Fading Gigolo tries to say something about human connection, the message is muddled and gets lost in the monotonous storytelling.

I was blown away by Chris Pine's singing at the end. Who knew?!!

Cassandra M (kr) wrote: I found this movie had made a crushing compared to the first original movie. I really didn't expect to but I actually laughed because I did not think the acting was good enough and really stunk. The story line or script for that matter was completely all over the place and should have been rewritten. Not good enough for my view. They should have got Drew Barrymore again when she was grown up in her teens for the same part but a better story line. That little girl in the movie, her acting was terrible, I am not allowed too, I am not allowed too, she kept saying those words in which you wouldn't expect her to say them. Who ever wrote that script should be shot compared to the original it was killed off and I feel sorry, other wise I was getting ready to see a very good movie but what I got was trash.

Looking forward to the sequel. Definitely watch with your buddies if you're feeling goofy and loud. Because this movie is that: goofy and loud. And hilarious. Great comedy.

Gaspar O (de) wrote: Picked this up recently for just about nothing when a local video store went out of business. In all the trailers, they say over and over about what an epic adventure this is, biggest spectacle ever blah blah blah blah blah. For its day, it was OK, not great, just decent. I happen to like this type of film very much, so I enjoyed it.
Steve S (au) wrote: How is it possible for a movie to be bad and "good" at the same time? Mr. Majestyk is bad -most of the scenarios are utterly unrealistic; impossible in real life. The mob, the police, just don't work the way that they do in this movie. On the other hand, Mr. Majestyk is good. Despite many flaws, Mr. Majestyk is well enough made and has interestingly portrayed stock characters with lots of action, and you want to keep watching to see what happens. The climax wasn't too incredible to believe. It works.. I dare say it could have been even more intricate and would have only been more effective. In the end, Charles Bronson is just plain fun to watch. Yes, it's true. Guys love Charles Bronson, and even this unrealistic movie is still tons o' fun.
