They'll always be a part of each other, no matter what they do or who they get with, whether they're with each other or not. That sort of frames that feeling of helplessness, of not understanding fully what it is, which is sort of the most heartbreaking thing.

Thomas A (jp) wrote: This was an excellent movie that I am glad was made. It shows the Italians during WWII (for a change) and show the Mussolini Regime during this time. I have no idea how this movie never got to be better known. Anthony Hopkins as usual played his role superbly! This movie lets you take a good look at Ciano at the beginning and fall of the Blackshirt party. It also shows how Mussolini was really forced into a corner and how Italy was a victim of Hitler's conquests. I recommend that when you have time you check this one out for sure!

James C (es) wrote: Often maligned musical comedy that derailed the career of director/writer Peter Bogdanovich and actress Cybill Shepherd. The film isn't nearly as bad as the reviews of the time suggest. Great ensemble work from Madeline Kahn, Eileen Brennan and John Hillerman. True, Burt Reynolds vocals aren't strong, but he's miles ahead of Pierce Brosnan in "Mamma Mia" and I never understood the hate for the musical numbers and vocals. They aren't nearly as bad as reported. Great production design (almost all black & white color scheme) and cinematography from the always fantastic Lazlo Kovacs. Worth checking out if you can see it via Netflix streaming.
Dann M (es) wrote: The series come full circle in Battle For the Planet of the Apes. In the wake of nuclear annihilation Caesar sets up a new ape society, but it's soon threatened by war when human survivors from the fallout discover his ape city. Several Ape series veteran actors return, including Roddy McDowall, and John Huston makes a featured appearance. Once again the series returns to themes of predestination, human nature, and prejudice. The film finds a nice balance of drama and action in which to tell this tale, and still maintains some ambiguity and mystery. Battle For the Planet of the Apes is a challenging science-fiction drama that has a lot of solid action.
